You can see here that the box the clip is put in moves up and down, while the clip moves left to right. The bolt would have to be small enough to fit in between the top and bottom of the clip, and also small enough to only pick up once cartridge without moving the other.

It you look at 0:30 in the video, you can see the box on the gun has a rectangle cut in it, clearly so the bolt can move through it.

How did you get the magazine tube to work with the rifle? I understand it wouldn't be too hard to get a ball to drop in, but how do you seal the chamber so air doesn't bleed out of the hole into the magazine tube when you fire? I guess whatever mechanism you use to load the ball could also close something over the hole?

Fun fact:
A mechanical engineer designed all of the Metro weapons, so they're all perfectly functional.

I don't think this would work because the pipes would be too weak to withstand the force of a shell going off. Furthermore, it would have extreme accuracy issues from the barrels not aligning perfectly. With a shotgun at room range, you are throwing baseballs, not watermelons. You need our shots to go where you aim them.
