what sorts of weapons are popular among pmc's?
>>
>>34353354
M4s & AK for rifles, CZ57s are common.

For machine guns its dominated by PKMs, but a few minimis are making their way in.

Marksmans rifles are ever gucci G3s of SVDs,

Submachine guns are almost exclusively MP5s

As for dedicated sniper systems Remington 700s are popular, but more modern & hi tech gear are coming into fruition, a couple even had M95s, Steyr HS50s

Sidearms are pretty much all glock, sig, browning & CZs.

It's cheaper to throw a rifle away and buy a new one than to deal with the legal bullshit of foreign ports and their firearm policies.

Do you need prior military service to run security against potential pirates? Sounds like a lot of fun.

He accidentally dropped his gun overboard. luckily a mermaid caught it and threw it back to him. They took the picture mid-flight and the mermaid is just outta shot.

I'm pretty sure the only loop hole to get hired as a PMC is to get paramedic certified. They don't want folks on the firing line who aren't trained. The reason they pay big bucks is bc employees come pre trained and PMC companies don't have to pay for it

Almost always, one of the things that lets security contractor companies be profitable while paying high wages to people is that they don't have to deal with the huge amount of money, time and effort it takes to train people to first world military standards, they can just hire experienced people that already meet that standard

They have to be dead mid way through that turn, no way some guys with AK's on a skiff are going to try and charge through a fusillade of rifle fire and then attempt an opposed boarding

The minigun from Fallout or did you mean CZ75s?
>>
>>34357898
You need military and boating experience. Navy is preferred, but spec ops from any other branch is a shoe in. You won't get in without at least 4 years experience in the military (everyone wants to do this job). Then you need your passport and a general knowledge of the world of international shipping. Once your credentials are in order, start job hunting. Either look for ships that are hiring freelancers, or join a company that provides ship security and hope they send you somewhere fun.

I dont think you understand the ridiculous amount of bullshit that goes with transporting firearms through different countries. Even Dept of State contracts require a stupid amount of paperwork for anything coming into afghanistan.

You are the one who's dumb, anon.
>>
>>34353354
I saw a doco of Iraqi PMC's and they were carrying G36's. If they can get those from zeh Deutsch government, then I assume PMC's can get pretty much any gun from any country they want (excludes VSS)
>>
I'm pretty sure to be hired by a PMC today you would need to at least be ex special forces. Too many dreamers on /k/
>>
>>34358407
I think the reality is that you honestly don't know what they want. Maybe you should try joining one some time, mkay?
>>
>>34358407
You vastly overestimate PMCs. Former security guards get in all the time - and that's basically all the job is. Just better chances of being shot by someone you had no chance to see.
>>
>>34356232
Prolly, notice the lack of optics
>>
>>34358464

I guess if they wanted ex special forces they would have to offer a lot more pay. Cheaper to have Paul Blart work for them.
>>
>>34358407
>I'm pretty sure to be hired by a PMC today you would need to at least be ex special forces. Too many dreamers on /k/

Not true.

They hire all sorts, but the desire for infantry is next to none.

> Drone operators
> Engineers
> Mechanics
> Accountants
> logisticians

Last two sound stupid, but they required accountants to Audit Government agencies & local governments.

They are always desperate for Former Military intelligence types. I must get a call a week from people.

Bonus criteria
> 8+ Years service
> Preferably deployed
> Instructed
> No criminal record

>>34358464
I'd say that only applies to G4S, their utter useless, better companies on constellis group exist

I'd say they come in 4 categories:

Independent traders, who can very in cost & quality vastly, from local hires who make $20 a day down to professional Ex infantry subcontractors who can rake in up to $1500 a day, usually low key

Security companies like G4S, who are only ever used to provide static security, & who are mostly manned by non military types

Private military companies like constellis group, who generally provide a range of services. Anywhere from $100 up to $2000 plus hazard pay, typically do QRF jobs

Specialist Corporate contracts, Companies that provide a de luxe model service or Specialist service
Examples include Aegis (who won a few PSD embassy contracts)
Control risks (PSD details for diplomats & millionaires, they also subcontract for other PMCs doing Risk control & do investment advising deependant on armed conflict.)
Airscan (who run drones)
and my personal favorite Intelligence international Who won't speak to anyone outside the intelligence or special forces community (they provide surveillance, Counter surveillance, subcontract command & control and hostage rescue)

T. served with a few blokes who went into the PMC world & II keep phoning me up asking if i'd like to work for them.

>Drone operators
I'm doubting that
>>
>>34358240
Because they're correct?
>>
>>34358577
Well, I'm not that man, but I'm still going to ask why you think that. Drones have so many military applications. It pays to have a specialist in them. My cousin works for a mining company. His job is use a drone to survey areas for mining. So much cheaper than satellites or planes, they say.
>>
>>34358240
Summer is eternal
>>
>>34358590
Just that drones don't really require enough training that prior experience is something to look out for.
>>
>>34358620

Plenty of guys who have it though, so why not look for it?
>>
>>34358577
>>34358620
No you're average desert hawk costs $178,000. Knowing PMC's they'll skip the marginal gear and put in the top spec stuff.

You're not going to just hand over $200,000 worth of equipment to someone who claims they can do it because they went on a days experience course are you?

Although tactical experience is preferred, having law enforcement experience is a very sought after skill too, if coast guard look for deployable specialized forces experience (US: MSRT/MSST/TACLET/LEDET/PATFORSWA) and go for positions like BO/BTM or tactical roles usually you need 4 years of sea time, and a merchant marine seamans license to go for most of the major contract companies full time.
