For survival (i.e. actually shooting animals to eat in the woods) cylinder bore is about as useless as you can get. The only thing it is really good at is for shooting with slugs, so have fuckin' fun shooting those out of a pistol-gripped shotgun.

For anything else (00 buckshot, #7 or 8 birdshot) you've got maybe 25-30 yards of really usable distance, where your pattern is going to put enough of your shot on target to fuck it up. If you had a full-length barrel and a stock, that is.

Again, out of a super-short meme barrel/PGO, good luck actually hitting anything and not having to track it for fucking days until it bleeds out.

If you really wanted a survival shotgun, get something full size that has been threaded for chokes.
