Anyone own one of these cute little sumbitches? Are they reliable? Shit? Trying to get input from the most trusted source on gun info on the web
>>
>>34342309
>are they reliable
No
>are they shit
Yes
>>
I have one of those and a .22 mag derringer. No real reason except to try and see how far away you can hit targets sometimes. Never had a problem with the .25, put maybe 400 rounds through it. Just keep it clean.
>>
And i never have rounds in it unless im going to shoot right then and there, dont trust that safety or any safety.
>>

>That gif

Wat
>>
>>34342476
second. They will fail at some point in their miserably short lives and detonate. You have to ask yourself if whatever inflated price they're asking is less than the cost of the ER visit.
>>
>>34342633
Is there a pocket 25 that isn't more expensive than a Glock? The old Browning's and Colts are pushing close to a grand in my area

why .25? .32 is much better and barely larger
>>
>>34342309
Raven Arms, and all the descendants and deviations, are all chintzy deathtraps.

>>34342633
.25ACP firing out of battery or suffering a failed breech is actually not as catastrophic as a real gun, but it's not something I'd like to experience.

>>34342656
Honestly I'd advise against .25ACP, .32ACP pistols are barely larger, perform VASTLY better, and actually have some pretty good defensive loadings.

See the KelTec here >>34342678 for a cheap .32, a billion times nicer than a .25ACP Ring Of Fire abortion that trips it's sear if you look at it funny, such as the Raven Arms.

They go bang
>are they shit
They don't go boom
>>
>>34342309
Well. eh, better than nothing but not nearly my preferred handgun. I got one for 10 bucks at a yard sale. the slide bites my hand a lot because of the way its made. but good for 10 bucks
>>
>>34342309
I have an MP-25 because I can't resist buying any gun that's less than $50.

It has an unuseably small safety lever, and no positive detent to keep the safety on or off so it can change on you. That said, it shoots very straight and the only malfunction I've ever had was when the slide dragged on the web of my hand and filed to return to battery.

Otoh, you can get a COM hit on a squirrel with it and he'll still run like 50 feet.
>>
on the topic of 25 autos, do you guys know if there are any 3d printed frames available?
>>
>>34343069
>and no positive detent to keep the safety on or off so it can change on you
Especially nerve wracking considering how many known incidents there are of them firing when you use the safety.

Idk where your area is, but I recently bought a Colt 1908 for $425.
>>
>>34343314
Cascadia. The cheapest I've seen was a baby Browning with a grip that looked melted for 500
>>
get a .22 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnnJ0vjXQmo

the ".22 drought" that he mentions is over in most places, the video being 3 years old now.

but desu, there's a lot of god .32s you can grab

if I wanted a pocket gun, i'd get a s&w 5 shot airweight model or a ruger lcr just because it'd shoot a slightly stronger round and be a slightly bigger grip for shootablility
>>
>>34343349
I've actually tried the LCR. It's good, but still larger than what Id like, and the recoil, even on wadcutter 38 gave me blisters on the web of my hand.
>>
>>34342633
How much power can an explosion caused by a .25 have? Would it even be enough to cause any real damage?
>>
>>34342656
A used Tomcat maybe.

>>34342719
>>34343755
"catastrophic" as in the gun becomes non-functional. It will still have some decent power under pressure and the metal on the frame is cheap MIM crap so the whole thing could snap. It's obviously not going to take your finger off the same way a Gen 1 Glock .40 would but you won't enjoy it. Save the money and regret and put it towards something worth owning.
>>
>>34343015
out of curiosity what state had that at a garage sale?
>>
I had one, it worked fine... BUT there's no doubt this is bottom tier. As to unsafe, I don't know about that, but don't expect great materials, fit, or finish.

Fuck off
>>
>>34343946
every state does this since the woman selling things at a garage sale has no damn clue about her dead relatives guns other than they are taking up space. they dont know anything about laws or the value of what they have is. to them a gun is exactly the same as a set of golfclubs.
>>
>>34344799
that is wildly not the case, most coastal states if they don't know anything about guns they would rather throw it away than sell it to someone random.

t. someone who garage sales every weekend weather permitting across many states.
>>
>>34342309
Sterling is better.
>>
>>34345159
Probably because Sterling actually gave a shit and thought "Hmm, maybe a gun which may discharge if you use the safety is really bad and dangerous? What if we get sued? Better make a gun that's not fucking retarded."

What I'm saying is that Sterling is actually good, and Raven Arms actually isn't.

I recently got a .25 but don't have any ammo for it. I don't think I've ever seen it at a chain store. Would a LGS or online be my best place to buy it? How much does it usually cost?
>>
>>34345418
$1/rd on average.
>>
>>34345202
Are you in canada?
>>
>>34343946
Kentucky. They had a cheap Rohm .22/.22mag and another shitty .25 both of which were also 10 bucks. bought all three cuz, why the fuck not.

They are shit

Granddad was issued one when he was an active police officer. Gave it to me when he retired. Worst fucking gun to shoot.
>>
>>34345586
No, not my gun, they don't even allow .25ACP up there I think.
>>
>>34345895
What kind of absolute nigger tier police force would issue anyone one of these?

Are they reliable? Mine is for the half box of ammo I have shot through it all these years but it is cute and still looks brand new for being 30 years old
>>
>>34345418

Not the cheapest shit in the world but not the priciest.

$15

>>
>>34345626

well parts are easily worth that. I sell parts for these old pot metal guns sometimes. there's a market for 'em

>>34346831

sadly it's a MP-25 and not a P-25. P-25 in original box like that I'd value as a $150-200 gun depending on condition
