There are keys to unlock them but they are switch start. If your thinking about stealing one it won't work because instead of a key you have to PMCS the Vic before it will turn on

not that that stops you. when I was a PFC way back in 2004. Me and two other privates volunteered to guard a bunch of equipment overnight on a thursday, to get friday off. It was all in the motorpool. We got bored and tried to drive the Gator. It had the cable locked on, and we couldn't get a key. So we just raced it through the grass making no sharp left turns. I'm amazed we didn't get in trouble for it. We tore up the grass something fierce and right next to all the of the BN's connexs.

humvees, deuces and iirc 5 tons don't have keys. not aware on armor but I don't think those have keys either.
keys are a real fucking logistical nightmare.
although, I did hear a story about some army dudes in fort greely stealing a humvee and jumping ditches with it.
well, they fucked up and launched over a berm doing 60, rolled the damn thing end over end a few times, and then sideways like 9 just for good measure. killed 3 of the 4 and he was a vegetable afterwards.
