glock has better CC options and mag size (unless you pay extra for a double stack 1911, in which case it gets pretty wide for carrying)

If you want a good 1911, you need to prepare to put the time and money into it. Although Glocks are good firearms (I own a G22), I prefer the 1911. I did spend quite a bit in gunsmithing and aftermarket parts to make it work for me.

TL;DR: Glocks are good for the price. If you see a 1911 for the same price, stay away.

Not knocking anyone, but when I see people carry surplus Hi Powers or 92s it makes me sad. If that's what you can effectively shoot, more power to ya. But when the police "take it away for evidence" and it rots in an evidence locker I pity it.

You can get a Glock 20 in 10mm. I think there was also a conversion kit available for .38 super but I could be wrong.

Glock would have been more likely if he was using it. 45. ACP is so slow you can see it go down range when you shoot it. Glock uses 9MM, standardly speaking, so it would have traveled faster, and have a higher chance of hitting what you aimed at.

Glocks are lighter, simpler to train a conscript (or other unit of similar intelligence and motivation) to use effectively, and easier to replace.
