Was it autism?
no, another AR-18 derivative, could've been done better, marketed better, implemented better, and cheaper too, but it is what is.
I miss future weapons... I remember being young and seeing it and being blown away imagining getting one and doing cool shit with my dog. ;-; w-why does everything I love fade away anon....

I agree. It hurts me till this day that they royally fucked up this weapon system. I have the money for one but it is total garbage.

>Was it autism?
No, it was a seemingly good AR alternative at a time when a bunch of shitty, out of spec ARs were being churned out by a million companies to meet the demand. And because of all the POS m4geries, apocryphal AR memes were in full swing which made the ACR appealing. It made a lot of promises that it ended up not really fulfilling at a price point that people weren't willing to pay in droves.

You ever handled one? Or shot one? The ergonomics and break down of them are amazing. Id had side charging AR's, regular ones, bad levers, ambidextrous shit on regular AR15's and nothing has compared to the ACR.
Accuracy is good too. I can ping a bowling ball pin pop up target at 200 yards easily.
Getting the ability to take the rifle almost entirely apart without tools, the folding stock AND the bonus of having the side charger makes it a cut above a standard AR in my book.

Yes. They took a $500 AR-18 and made it into $1800 vaporware.

It's built by Remington, so there is the Q.C. issues.

The full auto ones are Remington. Civilian market is handled by bushmaster. I just wish they would get off their asses and give us the damn conversion kits already or at least a new handguard
