I'm currently in the market for a M1A, the pawnshop near my house has an M1A that's made by Universal for $1200. Does anybody have any experience with these?

Universal carbines are the. Otttom of the barrel. I've been looking for a carbine for a while. Last one I saw was a never fired Universal for $700 and I passed on it.
