Try baby oil. I dont thing that "goof off" it a great idea, as it's just toluene, and will likely fuckup the stock. I think it would discolor at the very least.

I've also heard peanut butter (?) but I think that it just works because of the hydrogenated oil. But then maybe you want the stock smelling like PB? I dunno, kinda delicious actually.

Denatured/ 90+% alcohol is best to remove sticker sticky. Just wear rubber gloves; it will dry your fingers' skin so much it will split at the fingerprint grooves.

Eh, it's really on Ruger for choosing to put instructions on paper stickers rather than durable plastic stickers that can actually come off and be saved for reference later. Fuckin' paper stickers are the bane of my existence.

use a hair dryer next time. heats the glue up and then it will peel off easy with little to no residue.
