True. Shot my friend's Px4 quite often and it's pretty good. He got the Subcompact model which is surpringly nice to carry around if you got the right holster

Its very reliable and has very low recoil. A vfg can really help get even faster followup shots
>>
>>34333255
I was looking at picking up a PX4 recently. The prices on them are absolutely incredible right now. I saw a brand new full size with night sights for $399 and a mid size G variant for $379 on Slickguns in the past few days alone.

However, I ended up buying a Glock 17 instead. My reasoning is that I shoot Glocks well, the trigger has a short reset, like all my other guns, it doesn't have any unfamiliar slide-mounted controls, and magazines are stupidly cheap - I picked up five 33 round factory magazines online and it barely dented my bank account because they were only $25 each.

Its like cz and the px4 had a slovakian love child with one of the best out of the box DA/SA triggers I've seen on a production gun.

how often do you guys have malfunctions with your pistols?
>>
>>34335221
It's an all around meh pistol. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but it also doesn't do anything particularly exceptional.

IMO it's priced about $150 too high for what it is considering it has a median price of $650 and the lowest I've seen it was a few pennies over $600.
>>
>>34336453
About once every 17,000-20,000 rounds, and it's due to parts breakage (almost always either the extractor or ejector).

Pick a gun, pretty much any gun. Assuming it's not defective, then feed it not-shit ammo (doesn't have to be match grade, just "okay"). If it's not a Glock, it will go bang every single time you pull the trigger regardless of how or at what angle you're holding it.
>>
>>34336529

Pretty much every handgun i've owned has malfunctioned once or twice. Glocks and M&Ps included. My GP has malfunctioned once in several hundred rounds with steel case(only shoot brass now) and that's it.

I'd imagine that the design is probably more susceptible to field abuse than some others(glock, and M9 come to mind) from my own observations and what i've heard, but as someone who actually takes care of their guns and cleans them every range trip or two im not very worried.

I have a P99 first gen. It looks great. Girls get moist when they see it. It shoots well. But it still has some shortcomings.

The slide serrations are fucking useless - if your hands are sweaty you'll slip like a bitch. That proprietary rail might look cool, but it sucks and there are zero accessories that fit it apart of some shitty rail adapter and a cyberpunkish laser sight that is rarer than a nigger without STD. There are very few good holsters for it. The mags cost a fortune, especially the old 16-round ones. The factory sights are plastic (but they are very easy to change). Finally, the grip texture is useless.

On the other hand, the new P99 with Talon grips is in my opinion one of the best carry gun around and it still looks pretty good (sadly the PPQ got the look from the Radom P99 - and Poles are not exactly renown for pleasing design).

Between this (or more likely the P1 as they seem to be mechanically identical) and the CZ P-01, which would be a better buy?
>>
>>34347699
P1 and K100 aren't similar at all in function.
P-01 is a great gun.
Is getting trigger time with them not an option?
>>
>>34347699
the cz because it will actually feed shit ammunition and function if you don't get to lube it perfectly as often as you should.

People will start screeching and say "yeah well EVERY gun jams!", but this gun jams more than it should and under conditions that other guns wouldn't necessarily jam in. It straight up will not feed Remington UMC. I've also heard about issues with steel case stuff. It WILL malfunction if it is not properly lubricated in the right spots.

It's not that it's a bad gun. It's quite nice and a beautiful piece of slav aesthetics. But it is not a reliable fighting pistol.

If you just want a range toy and already have a 9mm handgun, go ahead and get the Grand Power, because it's way cooler. But if you think your life may depend on the gun you're going to buy, buy the CZ.
>>
>>34347745
>Is getting trigger time with them not an option?
It will be with the P-01 but I'm not aware of any ranges near me that have a K100 or P1 available for rent and nobody I know owns either gun.
>>34347777
I've been leaning more toward the P-01 for multiple reasons, chief among which is availability. I could get one at goddamn Cabela's if I wanted to but the only place I've seen GPs for sale has been Armslist.

Either way this would be my first handgun and also a carry gun, which is why I was considering the P1 over the K100.
>>
>>34333456
Is this a felony because of the 'danger' attaching a grip to other guns sort of in the same class as a pistol would be or genuinely because of that exact example in that image? It doesn't look all that helpful.
>>
>>34347904
>ranges near me that have a K100
