I already have a .357 revolver, so I wanted a rifle with the same ammo type. Are there other rifles of the same caliber that would perform better? Thanks
tube mags are ok

do you ask to go potty
It holds 10 I'm pretty sure, 11 with one chambered. Around $700

Sometimes, just wanted to see if there was a better alternative
>>34326927
Yes
I think having at least 2 guns in every caliber cant be bad
I was trying to find a M1 carbine in .357 mag and a lever-action in .44 mag

>Are there other rifles of the same caliber that would perform better?
Winchester has restarted production of the 1892, Chiappa makes a nice 1892s as well, and Browning used to make what is often considered one of the best 1892s although it is tough to find one in .357.

Is there even such a rifle?
I own one and It's a fun gun to shoot. Took the buckmark sight off and added a Skinner peep rear and front sight. Descent accuracy and good for deer below 100yd
>>34327081
Yeah
I think chiappa makes one and maybe someone else
I have seen a far rarer 5.7 M1 in person, but no one wants that

>I wanted a rifle with the same ammo type
No, you don't. You want a rifle. You have no idea how much more powerful a rifle is than a handgun. Get a 270.
>>34327034
>I think having at least 2 guns in every caliber cant be bad
I kind of disagree, I'm still working to get something in most of the major calibers.
I've got a 9mm, a .38, a .45, a .22 rifle and a .22 handgun, a 12ga and a nugget, but other than the .22s I don't think I'll be doubling up on any caliber for a while

I've got a Browning Hi-Power 9mm that works great, a bit bulky magazine but pretty accurate. Tangent sights are kind of excessive on a pistol but they come in handy

>Should I buy this Rifle?
Yes
>>34327116
I hear ya, .308 is next on my list. Just want to be able to swith up if something gets a little closer than expected
>>34327116
What 270 would you pay decent money for?
>>34327101
Thank ya, that was the main goal, fun andaccurate
>>34327136
I didnt mean you had to have them immediately
More of a long-term goal
Also not EVERY caliber, just the ones you want
>>34327116
Doesn't 357 get quite hot out of a rifle length barrel? Not saying it's up to scratch with a rifle caliber, but it's worth keeping that in mind.
>>34327379
It does
You can fire the real hot stuff too
>>34326927
I have one in 16.5" nicely made.
I recommend Skinner Peep sights too, buckhorn a shit
>>34326927
Do it anon, they rock. Rossis and Marlins are a bit cheaper, but the catch is you've gotta find them. Henrys are pretty easy to find.

> marlin
> cheaper than anything in 357
U wot m8? 357 marlins have been out of production for a few years, so anything and everything 357 marlin are expensive, like up to 1k expensive.
I found a Remington Woodmaster 742 in 30-06 (pretty old, good condition) for sale at a local pawn shop for $300. Can anyone tell me why a semi-auto 30-06 rifle should sell for $300, even in working condition? Did they just pump these out like candy, or do they actually suck? I honestly can't understand how a 30-06 semi could go for this cheap.
