It's too heavy. There is no reason for the LE901 to be the same weight as an LMT MWS. The later has an extremely beefy barrel lock-up mechanism, the LE901 doesn't have quick-change barrels.

It however it is not the best 308 ar.

Parts availability is bad, it has virtually nothing in common with other ar10 designs, and it's about as heavy as a FAL (has a nice heavy barrel tho)

Oddly enough, we have a couple divergent designs coming out of Canada (To deal with legal bullshit).

The first one is the Alberta Tactical Rifle "Modern Hunter" which is pretty high end (with price tag to match) and is basically what you'd get if an AR-10 and FAL had sex. Non-reciprocating left-side charging handle. There's only a front take-down pin and you slide the upper backwards onto the lower, mating a shaft and hole parallel to the axis of the barrel. It's theoretically quite a bit stiffer a design, but not quite as ergonomic for cleaning and the like.

The second is the NEA-102 which is basically a modernized version of the AR-102 (which, I understand, only a few dozen were ever made). It more closely resembles a normal AR, but still manages to get a non-restricted classification while also having a much more affordable price.
