A colleague's father recently died and left his son a few pistols. He is not comfortable around guns and I'm trying to make a fair offer on them . They are a Raven P-25, a Hi-standard Double Nine, and a S&W .38. I cant figure out the model number on the .38 to figure out it's value. Any insight /K/ommandos?

>Raven P-25

>Hi-standard Double Nine,

Raven P-25 can be worth anywhere from $25 to $80 used ($100 NIB).
High Standard would be $75 to $150.
The S&W you would need more information to grade and assign a value.
S&W revolvers range from $300 all the way to $2000 on often minute differences.

You need a picture from inside the yoke (The part which hinges and holds the cylinder) in order to make more determination on value.

Ravens are functional and cheap. I would never pass up an opportunity to get another gun for cheap.

Open the Cylinder on the S&W and show us whats beneath the crane
It's a model 15 2 inch

There you go OP
its a model 15-3
>>34325016
It is a 15-3 so anywhere from $250 to $500.
Snubnose brings a bit of a premium.
Sorry im a bit slow to post. The .38 is the one i really want, but I'll make him a packeg offer for all 3 just to help him out.

I beat you faggot
OP it's pinned and recessed which adds to its value, assuming this is the original finish I'd guess you could get 650-750
>>34325056
Shit meant to type 550-650
>>34325055
Offer him $700. That should cover most of the cost.
Thanks for the help annons.
Any advice on cleaning up the surface rust on the .38?

Well, my wife just came all over it, so....

P-25 is worth a little more IMO, especially if it's a lower serial number.

vinegar and baking soda can do alot. start slow, meaning use a cloth, then something a little harsher before you make your way up #0000 steel wool. but that looks pitted, not just surface rust. GL!
