This man seemed obsessed with double Moist Nuggets
He was pretty rad.
>>34321669
I'm amazed I haven't heard of this guy before, his story is pretty bizarre. I'm really intrigued by the double-nugget, it shows up at least once in almost every one of his works. I wonder what the significance of it is?
He seems very fond of silly hats, too.
Reminds me of a less visually appealing version of the dude that does all those paintings of Chinese army girls.
>>34321783
>I wonder what the significance of it is?
Roughly two nuggets.
>>34321768
This one isn't a double nugget it is a double 1886 Lebel. WTF?
>>34321783
From what I read they said he was mentally ill
>>34321669
>Literally hundreds of self portraits with nothing but double nuggets
>Self portraits of himself shooting his psychiatrists
It's as if ChrisChan was somehow Russian and browsing /k/ in the 50s
>>34321821
It's a mix of a lebel and mosin
>>34321853
And if he could draw decently well
>>34321824
>hunting birds on the wing with your dobblenugget
aint nothing mentally ill about that anon
>>34321824
right, he was a deaf-mute who became very aggressive after his family moved away from the school for the deaf that he attended. Pretty sad tbqh, it goes to show how important support networks are for the disabled.
>>34321853
unlike CWC, Lobanov had actual (albeit unrefined) artistic talent.
>>34321913
>off-model mauser
I get the feeling he didn't have a reference of that one to draw from.
>>34321800
Literally who?
>>34321929
He does paintings like pic related.
Zhang Da Zhong or something like that.
>>34321969
There's so much I want to know. I'm absolutely enamored by this kind of autism that leads to total obsession/dedication to obscure or mundane things. It reminds me of really strange youtube channels you'll find with 12 views but 200 videos of just insane obsessive bullshit.
Where did he see the double nugget? A book? A museum? Did he ever shoot a real gun (doubt it given his mental state)? How deep was his knowledge of firearms? How deeply communistic was he, with all the portraits of Stalin/Lenin and such? What did he think of himself in his own thoughts?
>>34322099
wth is going on with the guys in the lower corners anyway
>>34322099
> triple nugget
>>34322186
beats me
I like this one
>>34322009

I hope this thread isn't so dead that this won't be appreciated.

I...I don't know. He reminds me of my younger brother, and to an extent, me, although exaggerated as fuck.
Considered obsessed even by people who you could call driven and single minded. But once you gave him what he loved he shouldn't shut up, and actually made some genuinely interesting and beautiful things.
I think someone needs to make a double nugget in honor of this poor ducker who never got one.
He is also now out official artist.
>>34321913
Wow, the guy knew what a Darne shotgun was.
He had some damn fine taste in weaponry.
>>34329069
I'll try to keep it going.
I'll post more of his work in the best quality I can find it in.
>>34327919
My boy liked Krags
His story is upsetting, wish I could own one of his pieces.
Someone needs to fashion a stock that holds two nuggets. Or a bolt action rifle that also has a lefty version.

fuck, I teared up a little reading that.
>I think someone needs to make a double nugget in honor of this poor ducker who never got one.
a mirrored Nugget action wouldn't be too hard to make with modern machining equipment and a competent gunsmith, it would just be expensive
>Take the shot

If Man ever creates a time machine, I will create a fabled double-Mosin, travel back in time, and give it to this man.
>>34336494
You see, Sergei, enemy will not charge with bayonet of fear that I also have double shotgun too
>>34334072
>when the krokodil kicks in
>>34337754
kek
>>34338135
that's some impressive attention to detail on the combination rifle.
>>34338804
I agree. It looks like it could be fun to own!
>>34332607
The poor man went insane and clung to the only sources of fun and protection and power he had.
He clung to a childhood dream.
And he made beautiful art of it.
One day I hope he is recognized as the artistic genius he truly was.
And again, a doublenugget is a must one day.
He's like a literally autistic version of us.
>>34334704
Used tactical foregrip on LMG before it became mainstream.
>>34321933
Is that all paper?
>>34341435
Yep.
>>34331871
Is that a belt-fed nugget in the lower right?
>>34331871
Shit now i want a belt fed nugget like on the bottom right!!
>>34341390
Are those Spyderco's?
>>34341594
I don't think Spiderco makes knives that look like derringers, but there are knives like that
I want to own a double nugget painting.
