their small stature makes them more suited to mechanized warfare. They also on average consume less resources and present a smaller target to shoot at.

Because there's a difference between the internet where everyone is magically 6 foot tall at least, and reality of what average heights are IRL.

People like Audie Murphy and Smedley Butler were still considered scrawny in their time, so there's no real excuse.

Rage is a weapon. Do your nation a service and piss off a manlet today.

You're a smaller target profile. Always give the short guys the SAWS and other automatic weapons. Tall, lanky motherfuckers are easy targets. They can't take proper cover either in a turret or behind trees or defilade.
>>
>>34314948
>neverserved
Manlets ALWAYS fall out on hikes and %99 of grunt life is hiking.
>>
>>34316407
false, tall lanky people do not have the endurance of shorter people
>>
Prone position is a thing and it will always be a thing. It will always favor the manlet. Being a sniper will always favor the manlet. being able to step softly and not be heard will favor the manlet. Less meat to carry will always favor the manlet. remaining cooler while doing streneous activity will always favor.

The eternal manlet waits.

your move

teleports behind you
>>
>>34314948
The answer is simple and obvious, and you shouldn't have murdered a (probably also shitty) thread for this.

We don't need physical strength for the way we used to, because we have machines do all the work that would take strength. Instead, we need people that can endure long, shitty living conditions and operate the machines well. You don't need to be big or strong for that.
>>
>>34316454

There's a reason dwarves are always depicted as alpha and elves as bitch-made; it's borne out in real life.

>I thought the meme was that the smallest guy in the unit got the support weapon since he's a smaller target in cover

No, we issue the machinegun to the manlet because he will eat his own guts before he ever complains about the weight in front of anyone taller than him

>modern combat

It hasn't.

>Imperial regulations, though not entirely unambiguous, suggest that the minimum height for new recruits was five Roman feet, seven inches (165 cm., 5'5") ... for the army as a whole a reasonable estimate of a soldier's average height is around 170 cm (5'7").

>- Roth, Jonathan, and Jonathan P. Roth. The Logistics of the Roman Army at War: 264 BC-AD 235. Columbia studies in the classical tradition, Vol. 23. Brill, 1999.

Height doesn't reflect cardio and strength to weight ratios, and that, combined with the willingness to fight, is what makes a good soldier.

You'd know that if you ever actually served....or read any history.

>We don't need physical strength for the way we used to

Sure, pal, because those rucksacks hump themselves through those A-stan mountains, and modern body armor, weapons, tripods, and ammunition doesn't weigh shit.

The only people that think you don't need "strength" in the modern military are the people that don't have to actually fire and maneuver in actual combat.
>>
>>34320360

You put the big guys in the weapons squads because they usually can't keep up with the lighter guys in the rifle squads when they have to move on an enemy position, and speed saves lives in a firefight.

So tall officers can easily pat them on the heads and say "it's a good thing you're so smol"
>>
>>34322639
That doesn't require strength training. It requires being physically healthy and having had a proper diet with plenty of activity growing up.

The moral of the story is twofold. One, recruiters are pieces of human shit who should not be trusted. You should not enlist or commission unless you get EXACTLY what you want guaranteed to you in a legally binding document. Two, it was kind of a blessing in disguise. Don't go for the cool MOS, go for the boring MOS that teaches you a very advanced and specialized trade in high demand in the civilian market. Pilots don't make shit, hydraulics engineers like me make mad money and fuck the pilots wives.

>>34322773
I know. I prepared myself to join the airforce for 9 years, and that thought legitimately never crossed my mind once, and no one ever mentioned it to me. Amazing ain't it? I figured they could find some aircraft to jam me into. The only thing they could offer me was to fly a KC-130 refueling tanker and I wasn't interested in that at all. So I said fuck it stick me on a carrier and let me work the catapult.
