Well if you had a choice between nothing and a bow... get a bow. Otherwise bows have very few advantages going for them.

Besides unless you are going to go nuts and buy all the stuff to do your own fletchting and shit and get fucking crazy good at it just get a fucking gun.

They do have the advantage of being comparably quiet and the ammo is easily reusaable. But then again same for crossbows.

If you live in a rural area and intend to stay there during shtf it probably makes sense to have a bow/crossbow on hand, but it's not a priority over a good gun.

Gun > Crossbow > Bow

As a fallback weapon. Crossbows are also viable as such, but their strings wear much faster than a bow.
