Are the front slide serations, rail and ergos of the HK45 worth giving up two rounds ?

Is the HK45 compact Tactical superior to the USP .45 Tactical?
Are p30 fags delusional to think that they have less recoil than a USP?

Get your dick manipulators around both of them. That's the only way you're going to know for sure.

>front slide serrations
If you use them. To me, these aren't worth giving up 2 rounds capacity.
>ergos
You be the judge. I personally find the USP45 ergos to be pretty good and HK's finger grooves are a little big for my fingers.
>rail
No. It's not impossible to attach lights directly to the USP rail, and adapting isn't hard.

Although I've only shot a USP45, I doubt the recoil is very different, given my experience with other HKs in different calibers.

The HK45 Compact Tactical is something else entirely. You have a distinct advantage of the USP45 Compact here because the grip texture is so much better suited to concealed-carry. USP grip side texture is a little rough.

I shot a USP 45c at a rental range on father day, sorry no pics

>trigger mediocrity way overstated, was actually pretty good, but because the da trigger was fairly heavy, my index finger would wrap around it too much and with follow up shots the gun would pinch the fuck out of it (very uncomfy)
>fairly ergonomic - however the grip width was too narrow imo, and the gun would work itself away from the web of my hand and straight back against my thumb (fairly uncomfy)
>paddle magazine release, sights, decocker and control lever were very easy to use
>fit and finish were superb

Does my experience mirror anyone else's?

>>34308216
The USP Compacts all have narrower grips than their full size counterparts (so you may have better luck with one of those), but people with big hands and long fingers don't tend to enjoy USPs - and maybe other HK models either - because of how far back in the trigger guard the trigger pull breaks.
>>
really considering getting a PTR91 as my first battle rifle, anyone here had any good experiences with them?

I know its not hk but (lol clone)
>>
>>34308243
Yeah I actually found the "outdated" USP grip pretty nice, it was just a tad too narrow and moved around a bit in my hand

>thanks
>>
>>34308244
I don't have experience with them, but I have researched them. They seem like the AK of battle rifles. No lack round bolt hold open, no lever or button for bolt release, paddle mag release, beat to shit surplus mags are cheap but can be unreliable, and new mags are overpriced. When I get a .308 rifle, I will probably go with an AR 10 myself.

They are big, heavy, clunky and absolutely without a doubt one of the most durable rifles that exist. I feel like I could use this fucker to prop a blast door open like in terminator 3. If I was stuck somewhere isolated and was worried about wild animals and the occasional group of trouble makers I wouldnt feel under armed at all with a G3. It does get cumbersome when moving in and out of vehicles frequently or going door to door.

VP40 is a fantastic pistol.
>>
>>34309055
No, I just know that the buffer models are the only .40 cal guns worth owning. Even more so the P2000 or USPc are better since they are smaller with only one round lost in capacity.
>>
>>34308610
The VP series don't have buffers, and that is what makes the HK guns such good .40s. Also the compacts have only one less round while being more concealable yet perfectly capable of using the 13 round mags.

The VP40 is the worst .40 to get out of all of the HK .40s.
>>
>>34309128
Dual recoil spring assembly >>>>>little plastic buffer

>USP 40f STRONK

In all honesty neither of them make that big of an apreciable difference. The VP40 has a beefier slide which I'm sure will handle the round just fine. I browse hkforum and have heard of no problems with them.

I have the fullsize 40 and i have shot the USPc 40. I thought the compact was softer shooting, but the sight radius and slide weight of the fullsize is faster to get back on target.

The gun may be able to "handle" 40, but I doubt it will be as durable as the buffer guns. The buffers are designed to increase frame longevity too.

>>
>.45
Lmao good luck penetrating any barriers or hitting a moving Target when you're shooting at sub 900fps dumbfuck. If you think .45 is anything but an outdated meme range toy you're a fucking imbicile, 45faggots are like toddlers who can only see "BIG BULLET GOOD" and you don't know shit about ballistics or how hydrostatic shock works. You realize that it was made like 150 years ago when people didn't know shit about how to make bullets right? And don't get me started on 1911s. 45fudds are worse than revolverfags, do you know any military that uses fuddyfive anymore? No? Yeah there's a reason for that, it's because its a hillbilly round and has fucking shit capacity, velocity and takes at least 4 seconds to ever get a *decent* follow-up shot. Honestly I understand, you probably get pee-pee hard whenever you shoot your "big bullet" meme gun, but it's not viable for any serious use (self defense, special forces etc.) so stop acting like it. this isn't a game, you're not on grandpa Bill's ranch, this is real life so how about you grow up and start acting like it. YEEEHAWW, I hate you fuds so god damn much
>>
>>34309309
>>
>>34309277
That's interesting

I'd get a p30, the L is really just going to slow your draw. The difference in sight radius and recoil is negligible. I would advise against a thigh holster. I thought they were badass until I took one on a hiking trip. They're uncomfortable and unnatural to draw from. Just go raven/ bravo OWB and never look back.
>>
>>34309128
I don't think the buffer is responsible for dampening that much recoil. That said, I didn't realize that the VP series didn't have these. Worth pointing out.

dude, the serrations on the US/HK's are kind of shit.
Front serrations suck even more shit since who the fuck really uses the front serrations other than operator wannabe faggots? I mean even with real military tier 1 whatevers, do they really give 2 fucks about front serrations on their pistols? Let alone HK's shallow as fuck serrations?

USP and ski ramp p99 are the most aesthetic polymer framed pistols ever created.

If the rear serrations don't work, use the indent on the slide near the chamber to do press checks OP. That being said the fcs on the hk45 or hk45c don't bother me at all since they actually look pretty natural on the slide. FCS on a 1911 trigger me big time though, unless they look like this

I made a choice between the HK45 and the USP, and I choose the USP. The trigger reach on the HK45 was too shallow for me, and would cause me to dip down and to the left. So since the big selling point for the gun was ergonomics, and I wasn't with that I chose the USP. At the time I had no intention of ever using the USP as anything other than a range toy, so the rail wasn't a selling point for me. Then I shot the gun better than my glocks and decided to switch to HKs.
