Inherited collection of rifles from my dad, found these among them, never knew he had them. I think they were my grandfathers at one point.
I dont know much about Enfields, are these good rifles? I intend to clean them up and try them out soon.

Enfields are great rifles. Do you have the magazines for them?
>>34307088
great rifles, but they are missing the internal magazine which is intresting. You can buy them online for reletivley cheap iirc. Otherwise you can can just shoot them in single shot.
>sporterized

>>34307141
Yeah I found them hiding in a crate next to my dad's gun locker, along with the magazines for the other rifles. I have three magazines for them.
>>34307156
arent they supposed to be carbines?
So In general anything I should know about these?
>>34307307
No5 carbines do exist. those are not them though. They are bubbad.
>>34307375
Whats the problem with 'sporterized'?
>goto auction
>bubba'd lee enfields $60
>buy a full wood stock no4mk1 for $120
>appraised at $600
lul
>>34307652
hmmm...
>>34307652
>walked into some random pawn shop on the other side of town yesterday
>various assortments of old 700s and niggified problem solvas
>in the back is a very bubba'd and beat to shit Krag
>mfw they wanted $900 for it
>>34307566
It drops their value to about a fifth of what it could have been.
A $200 Savage Axis is going to outshoot 90% of sporterized milsurp rifle, so their only value would be as collectors items. Which they no longer are, because they've been fucked with.
>intact SMLE
At least a few hundred dollars, a lot of variants seem to sit at around $450-550, though I admit I haven't checked in a while.
>sporterized SMLE
Like $80-100 at a pawn shop.
>>34307915
oh well, not like I intend to sell my family heirlooms anyway.
They will just be something nice to have and shoot every so often.
Enfield is gud rifle.
The 75year old magazines can be a bit shitty with feeding reliability. (Mines out in the pic to play with the feed lips)
>>34307088
>sporterized
>>34307088
Looking at the front sight posts you could probably unfuck them by changing out the front half of the stock.
Figure out exactly what type of carbine they are and fix them up.
>>34308214
says No.4 Mk1 on the side...
>>34308041
or you could unfuck them
>>34308185
I know that feel. Seeing that much exposed barrel just bothers me, regardless of the benefits it may have. Enfields and 1903s and all the other WW2 rifles just look better with the original spec wood on them.
>>34308240
Does having a little less wood really ruin their ability to shoot?
>>34308271
They're just on about the whole sporterizing old milsurps thing. All you're on the hook for is a few parts and some wood if you ever wanted to restore one of those rifles to its original configuration.
>>34308271
Just their ability to not be fucked up by retard making durr rifles in the kitchen
>>34308414
We got quality folks on /k/ tonight...
>>34308232
This should give you the parts to unfuck it.

These rifles are not fucked, as some of the other anons might say. The components of the rifles that are hard to change have not been modified. They will shoot great in their current condition, however if you chose to change them back to their military arrangement, it wouldn't be all that difficult. Don't listen to these fags.
>>34308271
It definitely can. Bedding on a lot of milsurp rifles relied on the full length of the stock. You might get 2ft groups at 100 yards if it's been fucked with improperly.

A)Ruins a historical piece
B)guns are now for all intensive purposes worthless if permanent changes have been made
