Chinks have been making T81s for ages, including the semi-auto models, domestically and for a number of poo-in-loo and jungle-asian popos
>SA-only models being identical to SA/FA with a couple alterations that remove the FA feature, so it's not "untested" or redesigned
get it? they've been making them FOR DECADES wirh great service record.

they are literally just making a batch of the same rifles they've been making since the 80s and which have more than proven their capability

I seriously hope you aren't going to go into arguing that

>well, any rifle that has just been built is technically brand new
Not him, but they haven't been made yet so it hasn't even made it to that point. They are brand new, regardless of how many times a similar model has been manufactured. You wouldn't say all sunglasses are great because one pair was once. Not that you ever got the chance to wear one, or that you've supplied evidence that they were good or who's even manufacturing them. You've merely pretended to. Not even so much as a hyperlink. You're just claiming things.
And yes every production run needs to be tested before I spend this much money on it. I'm not going to buy Chinese Vapourware no matter how hard you shill it and make claims of the quality of things that don't exist.
You can't refute the fact that they've never been made, can you? Why are you shilling this hard?

fuck off, red

Some of the frigates have already gotten new gear. They're testing a new gun on one of the MCDVs -- I only got to see because it was here for PR stuff to show it off, but it's just an RC .50 machine gun like the army already has a million of. In fact, on the tours, I got an army guy who made fun of it a bunch.

The frigates are safe since they were pretty avant-guarde to start with, are basically just a sleeping place for a helicopter that's getting constant upgrades now, and its the last real ship we have left after the destroyers got old and the tankers decided to make out with the destroyers.

MCDVs' future is uncertain though, since they're not really armed and can't go very far. They do police stuff, but only in the caribbean, really. I like them as a class, they're super comfy and the reliance on reservists means you get a lot of cross trained and well educated people (as in, the officers are mostly literally civilian police or engineers or architects and all your comms people are CS majors or electrical engineers and all your actual engineers are rally enthusiasts and mechanical engineers) but the MCDV as a platform is utterly worthless since it's just... It's just not capable.

It's a lovely ship, I'd buy one for myself if I were rich, and I hope to spend most of my career on them, but it's not a good warship. No guns, no missiles, it's not stealthy, it can't cross the ocean without everyone wearing hard hats, it's just not able to do anything important. It's just a ferry for the RCMP to nail drug traffickers that were gonna get caught in Florida anyway.

>>
>>34304989
lol, you're almost definitely "him" but a retarded argument is a retarded argument, so who cares which anon makes it

Me and other anons in the last thread told you that this rifle has been manufactured in both select fire and semi-only configuration for decades with proven track record. it's public knowledge for anyone interested, fucking google it.

you come with a fucking baseless statement that rifle is not fine, which already has mountains of evidence contradicting it, you don't substantiate your argument in any way and put the onus of proof on everyone else. ok, so you believe it won't be good, and we are supposed to disprove that. disprove what exactly, do you have anything to support your claims that it will be fundamentally different rifle for Canucks for some reason?

and if you're seriously trying to apply some kind of warped philosophical relativism to physical objects in space and time, then by that logic the next batch of fucking DD AR-15 is equal in every way in terms of what we can safely assume will be its quality, accuracy and reliability to the next batch of T97
I mean, sure all of the previous Daniel Defense ARs have been stellar, which is why they hold a premium price, and T97 has a reputation of being finicky with mags and the lack of feeding ramp in conjunction with that often causing issues -- but that doesn't matter now, right? I mean, how could you possibly reasonably assume anything based on long track record and wide experience basis?
you could get a great solid DD AR or you could get an AR that turns into a FAMAS-shaped piece of cheese the moment you touch it. it's brand new and untested, right?

in fact, I demand you now disprove to me that the new release of DD ARs will not be magical cheese FAMAS!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
do this and I will disprove to you that a rifle that has a long track record is somehow not magically going to be a piece of shit for no reason, other than one autists' tragic mental deficiencies

Bonesteel is the best

>>
>>34306276
The Fab Defense handguards are probably the best set for the money, although aesthetically speaking they might not be everyone's cup of tea. You could also go with a metal handguard from BC Tactical or Bonesteel Arms but IMO the added weight isn't worth it. Personally I think the stock non-railed handguard and a good muzzle break is the way to go.
>>
>>34306386
thanks you,
the Fab Defense has quite the unique aesthetic. not my cup of tea.

while i agree that the stock version is the best, the stock side mounted rail i have frequently causes jams with the ejected round bouncing down and the rail always loosens and slides back. although i admit i havent tried using locktight on it as I enjoy shooting irons.

i think i might go with the bonesteel one.

thanks you for the info

What scope mount and optic are you using? I've got the CSA "low profile" mount and it's worked flawlessly, if a bit bulky. The newer "RS Regulate" mounts are apparently phenomenal and allow the optic to sit closer to the receiver.

I only ever use the range gears but I drive like a madman who dumps the clutch, but with his feet

actually, oddly, people really like the CF

we're renowned for having lots of training combined with the stereotypical canadian politeness, but also having that that barely-contained hatred of all things that leads to good drilling and use of only necessary force regardless of the level of force including lethal force. Like a european mom, she's a mom and nice and all but act foul and you're gonna get beaten to death with a wooden spoon and thrown in the dog rape dungeon to get memory holed because you acted up and acting up is not tolerable

and just as a country to visit, its pretty pleasant i guess [spoiler:lit]as long as you dont go to any province but quebec[/spoiler:lit]

sometimes you act foul in the hood and mama beats you with a spoon. do the same thing but on the scale of nations and you get invaded, and maybe memory holed if its a very small country. if the airborne brigades get invited pre 199X then well the bullets that rip through your body will have been handled by dogfuckers, and if you're captured, you're going to get knotted instead of just railed

If you want to lose weight, download a calorie counter on your phone. I lost over 60 lbs using MyFitnessPal. You tell it how much you currently weigh, your height, your activity level and your weightloss goals (up to 2 lbs loss per week) and it calculates approximately the number of calories you need to eat per day. When you eat something, you scan the barcode, tell it the number of servings and you get an updated tally of your daily caloric budget. If you do 30 minutes of biking, for instance, you tell it (or feed it info from a fitness tracker like fitbit or something) and it updates your caloric requirements to compensate for the calories burnt.

Easy stuff. It forces you to read labels and be aware of what you're putting in your mouth. Would you rather eat 400 calories of chocolate or 400 calories of steak? Pretty easy answer IMO.

Most of my diet was heaping piles of meat with stuff like pickles as filler (things have fucking no calories).

I feel I need more exercise; I understand healthy eating, and just don't out of laziness; but I really need to be more active. But I don't do that either because I'm lazy. I liked biking for its necessity; getting around town, I'd bike, because it's cheaper and easier and even sometimes faster, but staying in shape was a side effect.

I really don't like change, and I definitely don't like arranging my whole lifestyle around something new unless that thing has other benefits to my current lifestyle. I'm not going to take up lifting, but I'll gladly bike around town. I'll tromp around with a machine gun or in full bunker gear for work, but hate running. Even now, I mostly walk to my places of business just because they're nearby... But I hate jogging just to do it. And I haven't had a lot of business lately that didn't end in a net gain of empty calories in beer and snacks.

Like, I'll go full tilt sprint for the bus until my legs give out or it becomes hopeless, but you'll never catch me running just to run.

>someone in /k/anada threads a month ago or so ago was posting about how all the 80 dealers were suddenly having a sale on their shit and that it was bad news for everyone dumb enough to buy them
do you think they were offloading merch they knew would be worthless and are laughing all the way to the bank now or are they counting the losses and figuring out how to melt their pile of prohibited paperweights into something they can sell?
do you think they are considering a legal challenge and a pushback to get the ban lifted, since I would assume that was a big part of their business, being the only domestic manufacturer?

just curious about the fallout from the latest development in our laws

That's more commonly the case with SVT-40's.
With the SKS blued/colored bolts are fairly uncommon.

Easiest way to tell if it was refurbished or not is to look for force matching. Force matching means it was refurbished.
Ie are any of the serials on the mag/bolt/stock/barrel struck out with a new serial placed above/below it.

>>34321918
Those are import/export markings, added in 2015 before the rifle was exported.

>>
>>34322682

>>
>>34322735
They are reversible. I uncucked my fixed mag, but the HiCal adapter isn't a bad idea if you aren't comfortable with breaking the law.

Also, don't buy into those Kodiak rails or whatever if you want an optic. Buy a Scout Scopes scout mount. 100% reversible, you can swap rails/optics and hold zero, and has a build in backup sight notch.
>>
>>34322624

>>34322624
>flashlight in the chamber

>>
>>34321872
>>34321949
it's not rust, if you fanatically scrubbed that bore with cleaners and bronze brush and you can still see it there sitting pretty, it's almost guaranteed to be copper fouling -- tiny particles that came off the copper jackets of the bullets previously fired out of the rifle. you can get specialty cleaners for that if it really bothers you, generally all milsurp (unless it's unfired/unissued) will have some copper fouling, it's not a huge thing and a bit of it won't affect accuracy on something like an SKS

>RCMP knows exactly where to go come confiscation
>gotta ask permission to move your guns kek
>can't even shoot them on your own property
>have to take an additional bullshit course for it

why the fuck would you want an RPAL unless you really want an AR or some shit? unless your mind is set on a restricted gun it just isn't worth it to me.
>>
>>34326362
The rcmp already know you have a firearms license and where you live you dumbass
>>
>>34326358
you have a gun license you already are in a fucking database for when they finally decide to go full communist. you won't be spared because your license lacks the R, you're naive as fuck if you think you're better off some how.
>>
>>34326384

but if they're NR guns the government doesn't actually know you have them, just that you're a license holder. boating accident etc
>>
>>34326410
Say that to the left wing death squad as they force their way through your door to conduct a thorough search. They won't discriminate between PAL and RPAL when (((they))) want to shut gun ownership down for good.
>>
>>34326403
Isn't there an agreement in the RPAL that allows rcmp or whomever to ring your doorbell and see if your baby killer is properly stored at any time? It seems invasive
>>
>>34326410
They will still treat you like have guns, its literally doesnt matter at that point, they will show up with ert even if you just have a cooey, since they dont know though they assume you could have an sks, or m14 or other semi auto rifles
>>
>>34326430
They have to notify you 24 hours in advance, and I think the CFO has to be present but I'm not sure.
>>
>>34326430
no. it's a fucking stupid myth. have you heard any instances of it happening?

Only one is known and that is of the chink who bought and sold high quantities of restricteds. He was able to turn down inspection requests 3 times before they insisted another rejection would result in a warrant/potential seizure/arrest.
>>
>>34326430
Two weeks notice. Plenty of time to bury your prohibs and whatnot.
>>
>>34326430

i think that might only be for people that got RPALs for collecting reasons or some shit.

i don't think anyone would actually not get their rpal because of that

personally if they got rid of the ATT bullshit i'd get it, i just know i'd fuck up and let it lapse and end up in prison over that faggotry.
>>
I'd get an RPAL if I could shoot handguns on my property or in the mountains, as I never go to the range. Until they (lol never) change that, I'll just have a bunch of sexy, expensive safe ornaments

please spoonfeed me
>>
>>34326362
>needing the government's permission
>>
>>34326574
when you buy your first restricted, you get a bunch of ATT conditions automatically attached to your license for pretty much any scenario that you would transport your restricted ie. gunsmith, range, etc. it is indefinite, no renewal, no permission, etc. as long as you have range membership (not needed in Ontario).

no paperwork apart from a sheet that explains these attached "special conditions". see Q14: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/notice-avis-2015-09-eng.htm
>>
>>34325608
Anyways, back on to the Troy, I want it because I'm in the military and I like the fact that I can train on this since I the controls are identical. I can also get it for $800 in 300 blackout. Now, the question is if it's worth fucking myself with the pump action instead of getting a mini 14 or something
>>
>>34326565
Shoot in thw bush you pussy or are you incapable of driving out to some dense forest and go 3-400m in?
>>
>>34326629

so i don't even need a range membership if i live in ontario? shit i might actually get my rpal then. thank you for enlightening me.

>fucking myself
you already did that by not getting your rpal at the same time as your pal
>>
>>34326652
>i don't even need a range membership if i live in ontario?
correct. plenty of ranges let you shoot restricted rifles as a non-member. they're more strict about handguns though.
>>
>>34326676
>300 meme out
I mean, it comes in .308 too but it's more expensive
>>
>>34326671
300m is good enough where i go. Other spot is across from a range and in a fairly active area and we never have any complaints even with dozens of explsions, lots of bumb firing, and constant volleys with multiple guns. Fuck shooting ranges

But yes, considering the outrage on here over the PAR, I'll probably get a mini 14. 5 round mags are gay as hell though

Bumpfiring*
Now includes full auto. Still no complaints, but thats cause were considerate about it.
>>
>>34326796
Idk I'd be paranoid as fuck about it. If only suppressors were legal ;_;
>>
>>34326733
if you got that retarded cuck rifle at least get it in 5.56, something you can afford to shoot the shit out of.

then again you might as well get a bolt action, if you don't suck cock (you clearly do since you don't have an RPAL) anyone can cycle a bolt as fast as they can pump that piece of shit.

>>34326766
>5 round mags are gay
not as gay as you are for not having an rpal. you can get 5/30s for shtf/aesthetics, it's a non-issue.
>>
>>34326829
I hope your implication was that I could just unpin the mags, because if you thought I meant that 5 round mags just LOOKED stupid, you've got bigger problems.
>>
>>34326822
If suppressors were legal i hadnt yelled open fire without earpro on while between an svt and m14 i wouldnt have severe EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I spent a lot of time in Newfoundland as a child, mostly on Bell Island, have a house there. I have not been able to make it all the way up there as much as I would like, but was planning on going up soon. Part of the trip would involve fixing up the house/property and visiting old friends and the graveyard. Afterwards however, I was planning on going hiking into the Long Range Mountains with a few friends. I am pretty experienced innawoods but I was wondering about weapons, or even hunting. I imagine a hunting license for an American would be hard to get, but I was more concerned about having at least one weapon among us for protection. I already asked my Newfie friends, but they have no idea and are no guns who mostly want to get drunk and catch as much fish as possible. This will happen when its warm.

TL;DR
Going inna Long Range Mountains, Newfoundland can I bring a rifle?
>>
>>34326928
Yes I literally couldn't care less about the aesthetics of the mag. 10 rounders are fine, but the mini 14 doesn't have 10 rounders

Should be some nice hiking, we will probally fly from Bell Island (if we can find a hangar to keep the cesna in there) and go nearish the trailhead.

you don't have an rpal, your opinion is irrelevant Tbh.
>>
>>34326641
Nut up and get your RPAL and get an AR. Failing that, try for an AR-180b or NEA-102, once the screaming hordes of buyers disperses enough.
>>
I asked my buddy to get a hunting license, so we will see if he is able to. A family friend made moose jerky, which I loved as a child, so killing some delicious animals seems good.

Course plus license application is about $150-200 and if you can't afford that you're probably in the wrong sport.

>>
>>34326410
>>34326362
so, how does having R on your PAL impede you or alter anything that you would or wouldn't do with just a PAL? having a PAL means you have guns and your address is known. the only difference is if someone comes to take your funs, the R ones are known and the NR ones will be searched for if you don't give them up willingly. the idea that the R license is in some different class and gets special attention is retarded. any sensible cop will be just as weary of someone that COULD have a Mini14 as he would of someone that definitely has an AR, maybe moreso, since the unknown is always less comfortable.

all it is, is an extra.
a license to let you have fun with handguns, SBRs and ARs at the range.

>>34326430
the arrangement is for any firearm owner PAL or RPAL makes no difference, the general rule is if they suspect you have more than 10 guns, you MAY get a call asking to come and check your storage. if you have 20 R funs then yeah, it's more likely than if you don't have RPAL, but the agreement is not exclusive to RPAL. if some former gf of yours decides to call and say you got shit laying around all over the place and she lost count of it, you will get a visit to check how well you store it. technically doesn't even need to be 10. I think that's just rule of thumb. but there are plenty of people who own retarded amount of reatricted a that have never gotten a visit. there are so few firearms officers (only people who can make and appointment and check your storage are them, not just any regular officer) that they really only bother with shit where they actually suspect there is an element of danger, something more to go on than just you having guns. the only other people likely to get a visit are collectors, but they have a whole bunch of other set of rules.

TL;DR: the law of inspection check applies to all firearms owners

I doubt it's fake. Besides, JTF2 operators aren't known for being attention whores who'd lie about this sort of thing.
