What bows does /k/ own? I have a Parker Enforcer. Real satisfied by the power and cocking, but the factory scope broke second time shooting it, and I haven't been able to sight in the new one I got because of proper stance and exhaustion.
I may just buy one of those $70 laser sighters for bows I see around.
Anybody else get annoyed when they see a full sized crossbow in movie, TV or game and it makes a SWFFT sound instead of CRRRACK or BANG?

Planning to buy this one. It is said to come with pretty good optics.
I have the same one used in the movie Hush (2016).
It works but the front sight is broken off and the rear sight is cracked.
Featherweight bolts hit a LOT harder than heavy steel bolts.

You can buy my damaged Danish crossbow for 800 NOK.
I also have some DIY training tips.
And some PRO quality expanding harpoon tips.

Too weak, unless you use super potent heroin darts.

Dont buy a cheap optic, crossbows and airguns vibrate a lot more then firearms do. Cheap sights dont hold zero.

This.
Also, the type of vibration/motion caused by the weapon should be accounted for - for example, air guns can break some scopes even though the recoil is minimal because of the direction of the recoil (= not only towards the shooter).

The replacement optic I got after the factory one broke is around $80
That good?

Depends on the optic, the cheapest optic i would recomend would be some type of TruGlo red dot. Most gun shops have them. Just MAKE SURE you tighten both mounting screws evenly.
