This is how you blow stuff up... Hopefully I can pull all 45 bullets without damaging them...
>>34297604
pretty neat OP
gonna buy a .300blk now?
>>34297604
>Mixed headstamp
Why is this an issue?
New loader here.
>>34297747
I have one... That's why I wanted the projectiles... The more of these I pull the more it's clear this person had zero clue what they were doing... Smashed necks, over crimped, and still like zero neck tension....
>>34297786
>Why is this an issue?
its not really an issue. the issue was the bullets were not seated to the same depths. a bullet seated too far into the case will cause unsafe pressure spikes
also, OP, what will you do with the components?
>>34297786
Different tolerances leading to different internal volumes, case lengths, and neck tension
>>34297786
case capacity and especially with 300blk being formed from the wall of a 223 case, the wall thickness for some are much thicker than others which if not using something like the rcbs small base dies will end up with super huge variance in neck dimensions.
I've never tried to reuse components, but I'm pretty sure this one is no good... I usually just use the speer tnt 110s for supers because they are cheap...
>>34297847
how much do those dies cost, and are the specs for them freely available?
>>34297924
It's $40 for the set at cabelas right now, but I don't really like the rcbs seating die so I have the Lee dies too. The Lee dies are made to middle of the road specs which may not chamber if you have a tighter chamber. The small base dies form brass to minimum specs and should work everywhere. You should also invest in an universal expander die if you want to shoot coated cast lead subsonic.
>>34297604
Dude look at the buldges around the shoulders on those cases. They are fucked.
>>34297604
Wonder why he didn't have a mind to pull the bullets himself?
>>34297847
>I've never tried to reuse components
>He doesn't save unknown powder, compare the burn rate against Grandpa's bottle of Unique on the sidewalk, and guesstimate starting loads.
And he calls himself a reloader...
>>34298454
Meh, the powder went to fertilize my house plants... In not sure what I'm going to do with all the jacked up primed cases though... It looked like a bunch were just jammed into crimped primer pockets too so no telling if I can safely deprime them...
>>34297847
Right.. i knew that..
So if ive got a box full of .223 and 5.56 brass i guess ill need to measure the inner case walls after cutting them down and separate them into different batches?
Bought a press just for making .300 blk, haven't yet set it up.
>>34298557
Use as ghetto blanks, throw the brass in the scrap bucket.
>>34297791
Jeesus, how big are your goddamn hands?
>>34298380
this. im surprised the dude even brought them to the range, just eyeballing it would tell you these arent right
>>34298454
So does that mean you can reload norma 23 times?
