HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
go home kid, you're drunk
>>34294373
Continuous, no. A single shot, with luck, 5% chance.

Mada mada
>>34294612
works for me just fine
it's actually very impressive. a japanese chick shoots a ma deuce at a katana in a vice until it breaks.
high speed shows the blade splits six bullets before snapping on the seventh.
>>34294373
Sure, just not for a human, a robot could do it just fine though.
No living person could possibly have the reaction time unless it was really far away

dont worry
its fake anyways.
you can tell by the fact that the "katana" breaks
>>34294373
A katana, of course but it depends on the caliber as seen here,>>34294478
The thing is that currently there's no swordmen able to perform such skill, i. These modern times men have more frivolous things in mind all thanks to western culture ingrained on their brains
>>34295465
Laws of physics makes it impossible even for robots.
>>34296900
Depends what OP means by 'continuous gunfire'. It could be subsonic bullets.
>>34297646
I imagine if you shot lead bullets like .22lr you'd cut more because lead is so soft and 22s are so slow

Unless you're this guy

OP, you would probably be better off practicing dodging bullets than trying to cut them out of the air.
>>34296900
No, we just need a way to move the robutt's arms with MOAH SPEEDO. Probably wouldn't hurt if they were constantly moving and just had to adjust because we wuz inertia 'n' sheit.
>>34297798
Just put a robot arm with a katana ahead of the main one. The extra katana will cut through the molecules in the air thus reducing drag on the main blade.
>>34294373
No.
But, as controversial as it will be to say, there were samurai who perfected chopping mid flight arrows. If I recall they used the naginata, though, but "deflecting" arrows is possible.
>>34297930
>were
There still are. Japanese people are weird.
ITT: weebs fantasize about cutting bullets and how teh katana is betr then ur stupid guns
>>34298002
It is a good thing Japs have laws preventing them from being full time operators. They would be utterly terrifying if they turned their excess energy and creativity spent on tentacle loli shenanigans towards killing everyone else.
>>34297930
>there were samurai who perfected chopping mid flight arrows.
In contrived scenarios, or actually in battle?
>>34297903
>atomic fission of oxygen initiates
>ensuing nuclear explosion obliterates test stand immediately
>casualties reach into the hundreds
>the Japanese smile, for their glorious Nippon steel folded over 1000 times has finally brought atomic revenge on the Americans
>filthy gaijin go home
>>34298078
If I recall a few did it in battle, but it was rare.
Keep in mind the Yumi bow has a bit of low poundage draw wise.
this summer is just terrible so far
nipshit got nothing on 12 gauge.

Honestly this sword doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
>>34297679
.22 would just bounce around inside the blade and make it explode. That's why assassins use it.
>have katana
>get shot at
>slice bullet in half
>get hit twice
>>34299921
I kind of agree. I understand a lot of the hate is due to old memes about claims of it being the best sword and that it was able to do superhuman shit. However, I don't think many people even think that way anymore. If anything it's become more stylish to hate on it. I am sure it is not the best sword--if there is such a thing, but I certainly don't believe it is as bad as people are making it out to be.
Maybe a bullet or two, considering a small caliber, really hard to do, but I believe posible.
But continuous gunfire I don't think so, you end up breaking the sword apart.
Remember that swords aren't supouse to be heavy and thicc, but light, agile and flexible enough to cut, thrust and parry
>>34294373
No. It's not. Now fuck off.
>>34299726
are you even trying
