HPA: The Hearing Protection Act
So the shooting happened the day they were going to vote on it. It looks like Congress in going back I'm session tomorrow (6/19) if I'm not mistaken, but I haven't heard any news about the bill.
Anyone have any helpful information?

Best case scenario is that the just get back to the agenda (aka pick right up where they left off). Worst case is sthat some faggoy gets mouthy and wants to debate and nitpick that one specific piece of the entire legislation, and it gets delay, re-written, and reschedule for TBD.

Its gone for good.
You think republicans are pro gun?
No you retards. They just dangle it in front of you every few years to get your vote.
Why else would they not do it?
I think it's extremely suspicious that the shooting happened the day before the vote. Very suspicious indeed.
This part of our government is not particularly transparent. Basically until that bill is on the floor for debate an up down vote, it can be stopped by a relatively small group of people or even 1 fucking person in some cases can put a bill down before gets any real public consideration.
I am heavily skeptical of HPA becoming law, but I do think it will pass if it makes it to an actual vote. I fear it's basically that we are see a few gun blog posts about committee politics (As a
Has been the case so far) and mention of the HPA just trails off and goes dark. In this case we may never even get a clear explanation of who kills it and why.
To be fair I thought the same of my own states recent NFA legalizations (first suppressor, then a year later sbr/sbs) but those managed to become law, so I have a small amount of hope.
Dead in the water unless it gets hidden in a gibs bill that the democrats will do anything to pass.

This came after the shooting.

Turns out the republicans aren't being faggots and are kinda wishing they had more guns to defend themselves with.
You know, actual logic.
At least one person still backs it post shooting.
Also, I can now use the reason of "I must defend myself from radical leftists"
Kek.

Shootings happen all the time in America, if they really wanted to disrupt the voting they'd have make it a real deal race related hatecrime.

> silencerco rep
> his opinions matter more than the CEO
Besides, isn't the reason Donald Trump's son was on a youtube video with them shooting suppressed guns is to approve the hearing protection act?
Prices may still stay the same or maybe be worth less, but they will make more profit because with no registration or wait times, everyone will have a suppressor.

Silencerco debunked that thread

Makes you wonder who's paying people to turn gun owners against silencerco by subversion posting on 4chan. I can't imagine the return on that is even worth a fraction of the money spent since none of the actual, organic posters on this board (or any traditional forum) want more gun control.
