>>34293223
>>its denting the round primers
explain
Does anyone else place their rifle and plate carrier in their vehicle every morning before they head out? I mean the chances are astronomically slim but in the case of an active shooter where I had access to my vehicle. Why just settle on a truck pistol when I could have protection and rifle best suited to taking out some unforeseeable threat or gunman?
>tinfoil
Yeah yeah it isn't like some deranged liberal fanatic is going to just shoot up a baseball field full of unarmed innocent people or something. That kind of thing doesn't happen in America in 2017.
>>34293230
theres a mark from the hammer on the primer, but its not going off, and im not firing it.
kind alike pic related
>>34293237
thats stupid if you're not a first responder like a cop since you can easily be confused for the shooter
>>34293213
I really want that Galil and MP5.
>>34293223
>>34293260
This happens with all guns with free floating firing pins.
>>34293260
yeah that's normal
>>34293265
A2 has a serious fixation on 80's/90's action movie guns
>>34293272
I love MP5s and I want a Galil to go with my SADF uniform and future FAL build.
>>34293202
a laser needs to meet my rifle, asap
>>34293269
>>34293265
i have no clue why i never noticed this before. just checked my cryptic and yeah youre right, i thought there was somehting wrong with this cheap ar i got.
>>34293260
That's normal.
>>34293286

>>34293286
>that transition from pale to almost tan
>>34293293
Happens with my AKs too.
>>34293296
I'm sorry that you don't know what either country's uniforms/gear looked like.
>>34293304
Wait, which part is almost tan?
>>34293261
Well it is either go up against someone who will definitely shoot me with just a handgun and comply with police when they arrive. Or go up against someone who will definitely shoot me with ceramic bullet defeating plates protecting my vitals and a rifle with longer reach, superior accuracy, and larger capacity and comply with the police when they arrive.
>>34293313

I was originally gonna say just normal skin color but that sounded weird
The consistency in your sleeves is impressive tho
>>34293315
if you have time to go to your truck then you could just go to safety and call the police
>>34293322
Complaining about what? You legit don't know what you're talking about.

>>34293449

>>34293289
Are you still looking for a T2 or what
What is the difference between the aero precision quantum and enhanced handguards? The only two things I can come up with besides the lack of a full rail on the quantum, the quantum also has 7 position Mlok.
>>34293481
He sold a T2 to buy his PRO, he'd have to be a literal brain damaged imbecile to sell the PRO and re-buy a T2.

Some other anon said that BA barrels are shit and I forgot to add that I dont want to spend more than $300 for the barrel
>>34293630
with all the other trips that no one cares enough to think about
>>34293630
Who are you?
>>34293644
BA barrels all have submoa guarantees and they make a CMV and stainless barrel that are profiled for the ops inc brake already. They're like 140 shipped from Tom's tactical for the CMV ones
>>34293663
I dont see a mk12 style barrel on their site
>>34293481
i'm gonna wait until i have the laser, not sure how i'll like the combo.
>>34293502
i got the pro for a more retro look because i wanted a peq15 but now that i want the smaller cqbl-1 i might want the t2 to make it look more modern

>>34293882

Where did they go?
>>34293968
Where did you come from Cotton-Eye Joe
>>34293968
Titan Defense
Went out of business after making some decent HK clones. I owned one of their uppers but sold it off to some firearms manufacturer who uses it on their demo guns.
>>34293995
>Went out of business
y
>>34293619
hahaha
>>34293260
It is not because of the fact it is a Lantac BCG
It is the free floating AR15 firing pin
>>34294004
Because they are inherently expensive to produce even in a clone state. And most HK buyers want original HK stuff because they have autism.
>or so I would assume
>>34293755
The jig has 2 plates, 1 for the trigger well and the other for the rear pocket. It's pretty simple
>>34293477
The easy jig makes it pretty simple. Don't use a shitty router though. And a drill press is a big help too
>>34293995
Have you heard anything about these guys? My shop bought some of their stuff, but I have very little experience with HK stuff.
https://www.madkc.com/
>>34294046
Yeah they have a reputation of being just fine but a little overpriced. Look into bretheren or dakota if you want some good 90 series clones
Been looking at the JP low mass bolt carrier lately, any good? I like my rifles light when possible, since I'm a 5'9" manlet and length+weight means awkward handling for me, so I'm trying to compromise on weight as much as possible, except for the barrel.
Other than the JP system, any other recommendations?
>>34293502
Hey burt, I was thinking of doing a 22lr build for my soon to be born son, anything you'd recommend or would a 10/22 be more reliable?
>>34294065
Lighter profile handguard, barrel and muzzle device will serve you better than light bolt. Bolt, stock and receivers are towards the back of the rifle where your right hand is
Even consider a SBR if 16" too gay 4 u.

>>34294195

>>34294214
Ehhh if they are from police departments sure but if they are surplus from abroad i'd avoid. You can part together an upper for that much with all NOS parts
>>34294226
everything about you is millenial soccer mom
>>34294278
He voted for berni
>>34294074
I'd recommend using a dedicated .22 upper, both for barrel twist and cleanliness reasons.
If you stay away from any of the phosphate products and anything that says "Ciener" on it you should be fine, almost all the stainless designs are the newer generation revisions. CMMG, Spike's, Taccom, Tactical Solutions and several others have almost the same bolts and each company offer different barrel length and weight options but they're all compatible. Some kits include .22 barrel collars and some include 5.56 chamber adapters so pay attention to that with regard to price; you don't need the 5.56 chamber adapter for a dedicated upper. Taccom, Spike's and CMMG offer .22 barrel collars for about $30.
I found a CMMG kit with 3 mags on sale, a CMMG barrel that included the collar also on sale and a bunch of used Black Dog mags for $12 apiece, so I ended up getting everything for about $80 less than it would have been separate.
CMMG mags in three packs are the cheapest new, Black Dog the cheapest singles, prob best to look for used ones.
S&W parts and magazines are NOT interchangeable.
>>34293619
Nice list.
My ARs.
>>34294454
Theyre not bad but theres no real personality to the top 3. The second and third distinctly remind me of arfcom from 5 - 7 years ago
>>34294429
you can use S&W magazines with a boonie pack mag adapter. thats what i have on my dedicated 22 ar and i love it. the LRBHO works like normal and i really like the 15/22 mags
>>34293202
Can someone give me $700 or buy me a Colt OEM?
>>34294540
Email me.
>>34294553
I want money too!
>>34294485
The top one is for camping / backpacking as it folds up for easy storage and is a pistol that is covered by my concealed carry license.
The second and third are simply military clones of a 2005+ M4A1 US Army kit, and the other is a 2001-2003 US Navy SOPMOD Block 1 kit.
I don't like commercial high speed low drag tacticool civilian 3-gun ARs. They remind me of Japanese tuner cars/ricers with their giant wings on a 1992 Honda Civic hatchback.

>>34294553
What's your email?
>>34294622
If you had a Bobro mount and better glass it would help quite a bit. Pretty cool rifle as is. I'd also change out that vfg for a stubby one and get KAC buis.
>>34294657
>>34294660
Irons are mostly on to fill space, I'd have none if it didn't look awkward without them. Those will be changed before long. Vortex will change eventually but for the foreseeable future that is going to stay. VFG is staying, it's consistent with another rifle of mine, where the vfg is the only option.

>>34294818

Does the ATF consider a suppressor welded onto a barrel at a length over 16" to be a rifle barrel or a pistol barrel?

>>34295055
Never heard of dead air. I'll be sure to check them out. Someone else was talking about Rugged too. Any opinion on them?
What about KAC?
>>34295035
The SiCo's actually have some of the most modular designs on the market right now, and the main reason most people here dont love them as much as SF boils down to "muh aesthetics". But if you can get a Griffin for a decent price then go ahead
>>34294911
Why not just have fewer, but nicer things?

It would be nice to have one I could use on 5.56 and 300blk rifles and potentially 7.62 real fucking NATO. I was looking at the Surefire 762 mini and thgames griffin Optimus.
>>34295086
Great! Thank you!
>>34295095
Any .308 can can do that.

>>34295078
>gemtech
>doing anything but making the GM45 until the end of time

>>34295099
Regardless of what you get, if you get a system with QD that has flash hider options and muzzle break options for the muzzle device, go with the break as it improves the life of the can
>>34295116
its a good can
i like griffon because i'm a poorfag
>>34295114
I was originally gonna get the hyrbid to do that, but with all the different endcaps and mounts you have to fuck with, it gets expensive and difficult to do when its heated up during a range session.
>>34295121
Should I sell my SF3P and get a SFMB instead?
while we're taking silencerco they have 30% off stuff on their website for father's day right now. cans not included because they don't sell cans through their site. brakes, parts and accessories, apparel are on sale
What buffer tube kit should I get. I heard that a lot of companies like aero sell chinese out of spec buffer tubes. So pls link real milspec buffer tubes
>>34294622

>Aero selling fucking garbage
The pnw set might have seizure over this
>>34295142
Thats up to you honestly. I'd suggest the MB because of the recoil dampening and life improvement for the can but if you're doing a clone build or something you may want to keep it
>>34295151
I will have one each:
>16" (maybe 14.5 pinned)
>10.3"
I have an SF3P and an SFMB. Got one of each to see which I prefer. Seems like I should just go two brakes, although I did intend for the 16 to be my HD gun. Brake may not be fun indoors even with a suppressor or warden
>>34295144
ya heard wrong kiddo
>>34295192
>chinese out of spec ap-15
>>34295192
Oh no an aero fan gay
>>34295164
You can get a .45 can and a 762 can that suppress much more effectively than it. The hybrid is also not that great on handguns, and like I said, changing out all the endcaps, pistons, mounts, and other shit is difficult if youre in the middle of shooting. Jack of all trades type deal really
>>34295192
http://www.primaryarms.com/aero-precision-ar-15-buffer-tube-kit-mil-spec-aprh100151
The anderson one is even better than aero
>>34295212
Clearly a can designed around .308 or .45 will do better. I'm just saying that if your looking for one can that cover different hosts, the hybrid isn't a bad choice.
what do you guys think.
13.5 MFR XS on a 16" upper and show a little lewd barrel, or go full hijab 15" MFR XS?

Those are both fine.
If you're going to primarily use it on a 5.56 or .300 blk rifle rather than a 7.62, I'll skip recommending a dedicated 5.56 suppressor and suggest you instead focus on weight over anything else. 7.62 suppressors are heavy, and holding an extra pound on the end of your barrel is tiring.
Assuming you still want/need a QD system, SilencerCo Omega, Hybrid and Thunderbeast Ultra 7 CB or Ultra 9 CB are going to be a whole lot more tolerable than a super heavy all-steel Surefire or similar. If you can do without QD, then the Dead Air Sandman Ti and direct thread Thunderbeast suppressors are also great options. On otherwise identical suppressors, direct thread will be lighter.
>>34295255
Do you actually need the rail space? If not, go with the 13" - save some money and weight.

>>34295146
I did not, there was a window where things were convenient and you may have fallen outside it. Also didn't I send you one but it cracked and you asked for a second?
Either way, email me again and I'll send you one. Or anyone else, let's go, get those grease emails rolling.

My only concern would be more muzzle shadow from a light further back.
>>34295246
And what Im saying is that a .45 can and a 762 can cover a shit ton of bases without sacrificing as much.

That is some good info

>>34295288
You're always going to have a little shadow if you're mounting it properly (i.e., an inch from the ports on the muzzle device so you don't brown out your lens). I wouldn't worry too much about it.

But aren't the Thunderbeast only rated for like 8 shots a minute or something? Thought they were for bolt guns?
>>34295297
The brakes will absorb some of the impact that normally the first baffle would be taking. Brakes also need to be replaced like barrels do
>>34295345
Not rated quite that low, but yes the firing schedule is significantly lower than the full-auto rated suppressors. How fast are you going to be shooting though, really?
I kinda regret getting a heavy all-inconel and steel Sandman L instead of a Thunderbeast. Full size steel 7.62 suppressors are nearly 2 pounds!
Also the SilencerCo Omega is full auto rated and is not much heavier, so that may be an option if you plan on super rapid fire for extended periods.

It would probably look ok with a 14.5" but this is my wife's first rifle and I figured I'd just leave it a 16" for now. She doesn't give a shit. I already had to do a not insignificant amount of domestic violence to get to not have the thing be complete mall ninja shit.

>>34295533
Yup, that's your upper. The mega receivers together are extremely tight. Too tight, however I haven't shot it yet so I'm hoping it'll loosen up some. People who know more about guns than me seem to think it will.
Making my wife think the gun or any other gun for that matter, is hers does help me be able to acquire more guns with less bitching.
My next project for myself is a block 1
>>34295567
how did you manage that
Anyone have input on the vortex viper 1-6 PST vs the steiner P4Xi??
see a couple vipers ITT but no steiners. In the middle of a rebuild on my AR and im looking at a 1x variable optic. Stieners are awesome but wondering if vortex is on the same level.

I need to sign up for an account on there. I keep telling myself that I'm going to do it but never do for some reason. Same thing with eBay.
I've also thought about getting the oem and then giving away the 16" barrel to someone itt who's building their first rifle. Thought it might be cool to make someone's day that way
>>34295683

My only gripe is the turrets for the red dot are kind of squishy. That's the only problem I have with it. But it's 1x is great and it's easy to see red dot in bright son.
You are correct. It's a very addicting and expensive hobby.
Been at it a little over a year and have 4 rifles done, and 4 lowers waiting on parts.
