If a 1000fps slug gun has trouble killing magpies and possums consistently then I wouldn't trust it to kill a human outside of 10cm. In this use .223 is your friend, it's fucking everywhere, can kill someone with decent shot placement, and it doesn't completely destroy the meat on small game.

Thats why co2 or pcp rifles are lame. Its like "sorry guys im out of air, we have to go home" i like pneumatic pump pistols for the reason that you can shoot them all day untill ur arm gets tired. And 1200 rounds costs 4 bucks. Ive got a ben 392 and a cros 1377. Both put up 600-700 fps which is fun for targeting. Wont kill much but its fun to scare animals away.
