Posted this in tv but thought some komrades could enjoy this movie as well.
I just came across this on demand without having even have heard of it. I'm really critical of action movies using ridiculous tactics/weapons. after doing ten years in the military I'm a complete fucking autist about it.
This absolutely was an awesome movie, they used weapons correctly, their equipment loadouts matched the weapons, tactics used were on par. You can tell whoever they used for consultants and props actually gave a fuck.
It's an end of the world type scenario wth infected humans hunting the non infected.
It's low budget but the production was exceptional and the action scenes very well done. I never post shit but definitely a fun movie I thought I'd share with my fellow tv faggots.

Except it's absolutely trash. The ONLY good parts about it are some of the action scenes, but half of those are ridiculous as well.
If you want to see a halfway decent Johnny Strong movie, you watch Sinners and Saints.

I recommended this on here a while ago.
Got a lot of folks complaining that the M14 had no recoil, and thinking it was in full auto even though the main character was just firing in semi-auto relatively fast.
Remember OP people on this board call scenes that are depictions of real life events "unrealistic", you wont please everyone.
Also Sonny Puzikas is in this movie for anyone who cares.

Yeah, I'm out visiting my parents and my dad pointed out sonny. I had no idea who he was. Apparently ex spetsnaz and I believe he is the reason most of the gun handling and tactics were so well done.

I'll watch sinners and saints. I still stuck by what I said. Imo it was a well dine movie both tactically and equipment wise. The end of the world thing is my kind of movie as well.

This and Micheal Mann's films show that giving your actors firearms training makes a huge difference.
Compare those movies to the end of West World, one of the most expensive TV shows produced, where the security guards are waving their guns around like 12 year olds at airsoft.

Agreed.
I was so surprised to see them wearing carriers with magazines for their specific weapons system. You never see that shit in movies. They even show them reloading mags in their off time and doing transition drills when their main gun is out of ammo.

The only thing I thought was remotely interesting was the "unkillable" zombie's plot armor actually got explained. Other than that it was just a cruddy zombie movie.
