Dude whatever you get just don't get ATI, literally everytime I go to my LGS someone is buying one and they almost always have problems

I'd recommend a Mossberg 930

Look around for a used Auto 5.

Or for ~$50 more you can get a Vepr 12.

I really like my 11-87, but it doesn't like 2 3/4 shells
>>
>>34287523
I have seen Beretta A300 Outlanders going for around $550 or so at Gander mountain with their going out of business sale, so that's an option for ya.

vepr 12.

Well I did say a used Auto 5 first.
But even so, you'd be surprised how "traditional" looking you can make a Vepr.
>>
>>34289690
All together it has a hard time cycling them
>>
>>34287523
You want traditional looking but functional? Maybe this? https://www.classicfirearms.com/century-catamount-fury-1-12-ga-semi-auto

It's a Chinese import saiga clone.
>>
>>34287523

I'd recommend a 930 JM Pro
>>
It might be a better idea to save a bit more money and get something $1000 or more, unless you get something used.
Budget semi-autos aren't exactly known for their reliability, with few exceptions.
>>
I just got a Remington Model 11 for $215 shipped to me. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. Internet says they're pretty good shotguns though.
>>
>>34289140
This.

Avoid those faggot guns. The only tube-fed semi-auto shotguns worth buying are Benelli's and Beretta's. If you want a new semi-auto scattergat and you don't want to spend $1000+ for one, man up, save your shekels, and buy a Vepr. You won't regret it. I still take mine out of the safe to finger-fuck when the fiancee is out every chance I get, and it hasn't gotten old yet.

Consider Girsan or Stoeger

If you're looking for just the furniture, there's a guy on the Files that has sets.
Bout $50 cheaper than Legion too.

I bought my 930 used for $550 and it was a limited edition Black Water issue of the SPX tactical models. So I imagine you could find a normal one for about the same pretty easily.
I've put about 1,000 rounds through it and I've only had one malfunction, a failure to eject.
And it was with that really cheap, underpowered Rio birdshot. Which makes sense because it was made for higher pressure loads like buckshot and slugs.
So I would definitely recommend it.
>>
>>34289194
Clean out the gas ports. The newer 11-87P are made for high velocity loads. You can drill out the ports for low velocity loads though
>>
>>34294959
It's OK, Anon, I didn't need that $150 anyways...

Better that, than the $220 that Legion wanted.
It's only money, you can make more.
Now you'll have a nice looking Vepr too.

Mine's only got the fixed stock because I live in a cuck state and decided not to spend the extra $$$ for a folder if I couldn't grind the weld off anyways.

When I move somewhere un-cucked, I'll probably just drill out the rear trunnion and rivet in an AK-74 style side folder.

>Mine's only got the fixed stock because I live in a cuck state and decided not to spend the extra $$$ for a folder if I couldn't grind the weld off anyways.
That's a poor excuse.
It is a fixed stock with the weld intact, and would be leagues easier to convert to a folder once you get free.

The idea of a 74 style folder will cost probably as much as the folder would have initially, if not more.
>New trunnion and the associated work that involves
>Front trunnion work to fit the locking mech
>other miscellaneous tweaking, fitting, and metal work

My advice, sell that at your earliesst convenience and get a welded folder.
Unfortunately they're now welded way more than the spot weld of yesteryear, so the cutting of it will be more substantial.
As will the chance for fucking it up.

You might still be able to find one with just the spot weld though, if you hunt around.
>Mach 1 Arsenal might still have some

Eh, it's not as much of a money thing as it is a money+why bother sort of thing. I got a good price on mine from my LGS and i wanted to give them the business since they're good shits.

In any case, I like a good challenge!
>>
>>34289140
Could a Vepr even compete with a M4? Talking about competition shooting.
>>
>>34300196
>it's not as much of a money thing as it is a money+why bother sort of thing
That doesn't make sense, as the "why bother" would apply much more to trying to fit a stock that needs significant work to fit.
Why bother doing all that unnecessary bullshit, when you can have a "fixed" stock until you move elsewhere?

But hey, it's your money and backwards logic.
Do what suits you.
>>
>>34300212
I suppose it would depend on what the competition is and how well the shooter is acclimated to his firearm.
There's at least one guy around that regularly shoots clays with his Vepr and, from his claims, does pretty well.

>>
>>34300215
I like the Vepr 12 tubular stock as a fixed stock, but I like the aesthetics of other folders better.

Now, an under-folder Vepr 12, hhhnnnghhhhh
>>
I got a 930 JM Pro for around $600. Heard they had some trouble handling light loads, but when I got it, I stripped it, deburred any rough machining on the moving bits, cleaned and oiled it, and I've never had any problem running my range's target loads. 9+1 capacity is cool, even though they only let you have two in the gun for skeet.

I replaced the pusher assembly with an aluminum one I milled out, which should probably last longer.
