Any APC or IFV really. Russian armored vehicles are notorious deathtraps, whereas the worst of the American armored fleet are just overpriced and not by default sufficiently armored for a COIN role.

Abrams, Bradley, Stryker.
>>
>>34287370

You're forgetting that America relies on M113s, Piranhas and fucking M2 Bradleys, which are BMP-1 tier for survival.
>>
>>34287883
M113's are rear line utility, America does not use Piranha's and even then both Piranha's and Bradleys have significantly better protection than a BMP-1.
>>
>>34287883
Literally not frontline unit uses the M113 anymore, the issues with the Stryker are with its mobility rather than its survivability (particularly when slat amror kits are fitted) and the Bradley has an excellent record of survivability except against IEDs, a shortcoming it has received numerous upgrade packages to address.
>>
>>34288015
>America does not use Piranha's
"it's a stryker, not a pirahna!" said the short man in his nasally, perpetually irritated voice. Undeterred by the fact the Stryker is a barely altered modification of a 40 year old Swiss design, he pressed on "They're completely different vehicles! The Stryker is indigineously developed, 100% made in America! Any similarities are purely coincidental! When has America EVER used armored vehicles designed by foreigners?! Never!" He concluded with a nod, tugging the hem of his multicam tunic to free the fabric that had bunched in the rolls of his fat, then returning to the bench to slam another 30 rounds into his AR-15.
>>
>>34289536
>Having this much of a chip on your shoulder while being wrong
Where does this persecution complex come from?
Besides, Strykers are a copy of the Canadian LAV 3, which has a completely redesigned hull and only uses the chassis design of the Piranha 3. We both know you know this already, but I guess asshurt anti-American rants can make us say silly things, huh?

What kind of crap is this?

The Canadian Piranha IIIs have only basic survivability against small arms and heavy machine gun fire only from the frontal aspect. They're fucked against every other weapon. Can you imagine what would happen to a BCT if they entered the Ukrainian conflict and were hit with MLRS with sub-munitions, like the thousands of Hohols that were incinerated in their armored vehicles in East Ukraine?

Same goes for the Bradley, which melts so fast and hot when on fire, its strips paint off vehicles parked tens of yards away.

And the M113 is your main battlefield tractor. A few front line Brigades have shitty Canadian LAVs, the rest of the army moves by flat bed truck or M113 as they did in Vietnam.

The US armed forces are extremely poorly prepared to fight a ground war against anyone but roving gangs of sand niggers on pick-ups.

Casualties happen in war. Everything is hardened vs shrapnel, and nothing fights alone.

The US has known that Stryker BCTs don't have the slugging-match survivability of a heavy BCT since the very first NTC rotations they were used in, except in conditions of good information.

Everything is tinder in those conditions. Once a JSTARS powers up and assumes combat orbit, it can track every Russian MLRS in range and beam the coordinates to every US MLRS. So can a F35.

"Oh shit your dudes can die in a war" is not a very convincing argument.

that is now

>The gun is also capable of firing guided missiles like the 9M119M1 Invar-M which has an effective range of 100 m to 5km and can penetrate about 900 millimetres (37 in) of steel armour and can also engage low-flying air targets such as helicopters.
>The tank features the Afghanit active protection system (APS), which includes a millimeter-wavelength radar to detect, track, and intercept incoming anti-tank munitions, both kinetic energy penetrators and tandem-charges.
>The T-14 is equipped with 26.5–40 GHz Active electronically scanned array radar, which has a range of 100 km and is used mainly by the APS. Up to 40 airborne or 25 ground targets down to 0.3 m (12 in) in size can be tracked simultaneously. The tracking system provides an automatic firing solution for the destruction of the target, which can then be transferred to either the APS or the main gun control computers. The tank will be able to give target designation for artillery and serve in air defence and reconnaissance roles.
>Vehicles of the Armata platform will be equipped with the radar and other technologies found on the Sukhoi T-50 fifth-generation jet fighter. They include a Ka band radar (26.5–40 GHz) based on AESA radar.

Why would you put a radar of that caliber in a MBT? Have fun justifying the cost of production to a bankrupt nation. What happens when it break? Are the crew trained in AESA radar maintenance? >Russia Strong! Russia Strong!!!

Let me put that in perspective for you, faggot:

America puts a single armour brigade in poland . A brigade, Not evan a division. Single fucking brigade. Less than 90 tanks, and some IFVs and support vehicles. Hell, burgers havent even bothered to repaint them from desert camo.

And guess what happens? Russian government immediately starts screeching about dire threat to russia's national securty, starts threatening with nukes , and deploys entire divisions as counter.

All this because 6 companies - not 6 divisions, not 6 brigades, not even 6 battalions , but whole_6_fucking_companies_ of Abrams tanks appered in neighbouring country . 18 platoons! Dear mother of Lenin, together with cavalry troop thats over 80 tanks! And with accompanying infantry ! A combat juggenaut!

And this literally tells everything you want to know about what russians government and military leaders _really_ think about "obsolete burger tanks that would be slaughtered superrior russian armour. "

Russkies may beat their chest and scream Russia Stronk all they want , but their reaction about mere few dozens of fatnik tanks parking nearby tells you all you need to know about the true combat value of russian military.

Not they placed hundreds of missiles with nukes close to the US mainland, at which point the US responded by sending missiles to Turkey and Europe, which the Russians responded by chimping out even though they had done the exact same thing.

Well placing nuclear tipped missile in a forward location is a provocative act. Not to mention Russia started "reeeeing" out when the US said they were going to start building Aegis Ashore systems in Romania and Poland. Also, let's not forget Russia is in violation of the ballistic missile treaty which laces limits on the range of shorter and medium range ballistic missiles. The Russian Federation is still a signatory to this. Meanwhile after the Russian Fed violated this treaty the US withdrew from the anti-ballistic missile treaty.

You could theoretically kill any aircraft with any AA weapon built since the First World War, but like hell are you going to score a hit.

With a blast weapon you don't shoot directly at the target, you shoot at hte ground under the target. That's why durkas can't hit with RPGs. People who've played FPS games would know this.

Nuclear missiles capable of preemptive decapitating strike on your capital or counterforcce launch against your facilities with minimal warning time is pretty damn legitimate cause for concern for any country, no matter how strong it is.

Autistic screeching about less than hundred of supposedly obsolete tanks and humvees that according to vatniks here are completely inferior to modern russian (stronk!) army should a bit different matter... If russia is indeed so STRONK, they would not have a reson to worry. A single brigade, even if it was the best and most capable brigade in enire history of armoured warfare , is such a minor threat that response it should deserve is shrug :
>Meh, a brigade? Hell, we got 3 enire divisions in this general area. Good luck attacking us, fatniks" .

Unless russia is so weak and unstable that mere single fatnik tank brigade in neighbouring country is actually an existential threat, comparable to nukes parked on your doorstep.

The US would have trounced the Soviets in 1962 in a nuclear war.
SACs peak during the crisis was about 3000 warheads.

The Soviets would have mustered about 300 that could have been delivered to the US, and the vast majority of those were on bombers that probably would not have made it to their targets.
