Cz P10C vs. PPQ vs. Glock 19 vs. Sig P320 vs. FNS 9
which ones better out of box and why?
also post edc.

USP9 and USP9c are both better than all of those.

The PPQ has a better trigger than the others, but no real high capacity magazine options and the stock sights suck. That said, the sights on the PPQ can be changed more easily than any handgun sights out there. You just need a couple screwdrivers and any average Joe can install night sights on a PPQ. My nitpick about the PPQ, and the reason I sold mine, is that the slide profile is kind of trapezoidal, which makes it feel like you're not getting a good grip on it when you go to rack the slide. The VP9 is the opposite of this, in this regard - you CAN'T NOT get a good grip on the VP9 slide. Other than that, Walther polymer pistols tend not to be popular with LE departments and it concerns me why not. If you do get a Walther, shop around online. Walther has a $!00 rebate going this summer, so you can get a PPQ for $400 otd, an amazing deal for a great gun.

CZ P10c is a big unknown for a lot of people. FNS9 is a big caution symbol for me because of the *squishysquishy* meme and they just look cheap.

Glocks are good guns. As a beginner, you'll appreciate magazine cost and availability, and these guns tend to be reliable. It's also very hard to make one rust. I've gone on backpacking trips through the rain with my Glock 20 where the gun didn't properly dry out for days, and the only rust I found was on the tiny trigger safety pin on the trigger. The triggers are the opposite of luxurious, but you won't find yourself fighting the trigger while shooting them, at least. It's like a staple gun. Anyone can use a Glock pretty well.

The P320 has a decent trigger, almost as good as the PPQ, but you will have to evaluate the rest of the gun yourself. I don't really like the balance in hand, which isn't a deal-killer - the P239 balances horribly, but happens to shoot like a dream. The problem is that the P320 seems to jump around while shooting a little too much. The frame has almost no weight. A positive is that Sig has finally released high capacity magazines for this model
>>
Define better. What are you using it for, what are you looking for, etc.

If you want something that will have literally no problems other than muh grip angle then go with the Glock.

And why would you include the FNS and not the 509?
>>
>>34284668
>What are you using it for, what are you looking for, etc.

All these guns literally occupy the exact same niche in the market.
>>
>>34284678
>All these guns literally occupy the exact same niche in the market.

Still doesn't answer the question.

You could lay out five different 3in folding knives in front of me and ask you which one was the best, but if I knew you were looking for a knife for general wooded area utility, I would say none of them.

So, again, what are you using it for.

1) I'm not the OP.

2) Your question is irrelevant to the thread. OP is asking about either X, Y or Z, all of which occupy the exact same market and functional niche. He's not asking an open-ended question where you get to ask him questions and then answer W.

3) Suck my dick.

I'm tall, so the gear fits - now that I have a threaded bbl that extends out beyond the holster I gotta be careful or I can pinch a nut.
Sometimes I give my pants a quick hike before sittings - not super often though.
Bending over forwards is by far the most punishing and restrictive movements to the point where I tie my shoes in the morning before adorning the holster and I take the gun/holster off when I collect brass at the range.
>>
>>34285566

The CZ P10C should be a wait and see gun. Looks promising and such but it just came out while the others you've listed have been out for years now.

The FNS 9 may be discontinued soon now that the FN 509 has been released. Magazines aren't interchangeable unless you buy base pads. I don't understand why FN continues to release new models and not have them be backwards compatible in terms of parts and magazines.

I really like the Sig P320 compact because of the good ergonomics and trigger. No humps, swells or grooves that may make it uncomfortable for some people. Grip frames are cheap and easily replaceable should there be too many scratches from abuse or if you've made a mistake on custom stippling. The aftermarket should expand rapidly for this gun now that the U.S. Army and DHS have contracts for the gun and it's become really popular among civilian shooters. The balance is a bit off compared to other pistols because of the high bore axis and all of the weight being in the slide basically but if you stick with the compact it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The full size and the sub compact both feel a bit top heavy.

The close 2nd to the P320, for me, would be the Walther PPQ. I have over 1400 rounds through mine but on occasion I will get unintentional double taps during an extended shooting session where I'm beginning to become fatigued. The trigger pull is very light and the reset is very short so a finger spasm can lead to the double tap. Because of this I just keep it as a range/home defense gun while I use glocks or the p320 for concealed carry usage.

For me the important components are a good set of hooks and loops male & female with aggressive adhesive (see Velcro USA in NH) and a big slab of neopryne for me to whittle down. Some holsters have pre-built wedges, there's a lot of variation here.

I had this happen on both my PPQ and PPS today, so it's not just the light weight trigger on the PPQ. I assume it's the short reset they use on their triggers.

The CZ and PPQ are a matter of individual preference and taste.

The Glock 19 outdated and will drop in value, while the Sig 320 is going to be really hard for civilians to find in the near future.

Glock 19
most compact, largest magazine availability, largest variety of accessories, magazine interchangeability with other models (this is a huge advantage, say you want something smaller or for whatever reason bigger, you already have mags for it. Also, 33 round magazines if you want some retarded fun). Magazines are also cheap, this is a big deal. I'm not really sure it's more reliable than the other guns, but it has that reputation. I think all of these guns are quite reliable, more than any soldier and certainly any civilian carrying one would need.

Its main advantage is also its only real disadvantage: it is overwhelmingly popular. This means you will not be a special snowflake. You're one of millions of glock owners. You get no cool guy points for this.

PPQ
Great trigger. Best of the bunch for sure.

CZp10C
No experience with this gun. I don't see anything it does to set itself apart form the competition. It doesn't have a gimmick or niche.

Sig p320
Modular. I don't care, maybe you do?

FNS 9
It looks cool? FN is a highly regarded brand? It's in the same boat as the CZ for me, but has been out longer and there is still no distinguishing factor. Get this if you have to be different from everyone else.

I don't think you can go wrong at all with any of these guns. They all are good. I would say the PPQ is the best gun, but the Glock has advantages that make it the superior option. I would definitely choose between those two.

Second, those cuts are uneven and jagged, neither side of the holster looks even with the other, there's not relief made for any of the hardware so it's either a bitch to get in/out, or it's too loose. Also a single clip that wide for a holster that wide is a bad idea. I've had prototypes that came out better than that on the first try.

I can't tell if that's meant for CC'ing or a floppy OWB idea, but both look uncomfortable.

I wouldn't even recommend contacting the company, just look around for someone else.

Opinions on whether or not the PPQ trigger is too light for IWB -CCW?
>>
>>34299236
I wouldn't want to carry it, but I've only started carrying recently and like a heavier trigger
>>
>>34299236
don't pull the trigger and it won't fire
>>
>>34299236

Trigger pull being light isn't the issue because the trigger pull distance is actually relatively long on the first pull. The short reset may be an issue if you are under stress and may have that unintentional double tap that has been mentioned before.

Lots of training should be done before CCWing the PPQ. The short reset could be seen as a benefit once you're comfortable with it as you could probably start practicing drawing + triple tapping into a target.

I have a kareen, and I love it. I took the magazine safety out, since it's not required, removing it improves the trigger, and i just hate needless safeties.

One of the most accurate shooting pistols I have, which is saying a lot since it's Israeli police surplus that was beaten to shit.

How much did you pay for your surplus one?

Fully intend to buy one once the sales rush for them is over.

Just bought my first 9mm [pic related], i know hk does not recommend +p+ is there a reason behind this? also, what is the best ammo to feed this cool as fuck puppy?
>>
>>34303720
No one recommends +p+ because that designation literally means that the ammunition is out of spec.

+p has a specification with an upper bound on pressure. +p+ just means more pressure than +p. Could be 10psi over, could be 10000psi over.

>recognizes utility of sharing mags with smaller glocks

>can't recognize why modularity in the p320 is an advantage

Get a P320 carry, and a compact grip module. You can now go from 15 flush fitting and 17 with the grip extension to 17 flush fitting with 21 in the extension

He doesn't like it as much as his flute.

I have a PPQ. I like it, though I find it a bit more snappy than some other 9mm. But it's easy to overcome with proper grip. I dunno, maybe I'm just a pussy.
>>
>>34304933
>modularity in the p320 is an advantage
It's not.
The size/caliber kits cost almost as much as a new gun, but without the benefit of having a second gun.
I could see it being a slight benefit for Europeans who're restricted by law to only owning a certain number of firearms, or for triggerfags who don't want to pay $$$ for a match trigger for every size/caliber of P320 they own, but those are some serious edge cases.
For most people, I think the P320's serialized chassis is a bad thing because it encourages people to practice shooting a full-size gun that they have no intention of carrying and then carry a tiny gun that they never practice with, without the psychological barrier to entry of having to buy multiple guns in order to do so.
>>
>>34305978

Like i said, you can go from compact to carry (full size magazine well, compact rail) with only a swap of the grip module (fifty bucks)
>>
>>34305901
As a polymer pistol, it's going to be a little more snappy than something like a Hi Power, but the PPQ is not that bad. Your grip just sucks.
>>
>>34296886
what can is that?

All you freakin' losers complain about 'snappiness', LEARN HOW TO SHOOT/LEARN HOW TO HOLD YOUR FIREARM. Also, it would not hurt if you actually worked out your arms by doing couple of push-ups a week.

Honestly I like the G17 the best but all of them work very well for me. Beretta is fun, PPQ and VP9 have great triggers. The P320 is probably my least favorite cause it's had a few failure to eject malfunctions.

If it's been consistent even after a supposed break in period I would contact Sig about it. I've heard a few people having FTE's either due to incorrect extractor spring or the extractor itself is out of spec.
