Damn straight. Was a great game. Hours of gameplay, a really underrated tactical shooter. I think the reason it wasn't a big game is because it wasn't about Americans.

7,62 High Caliber with BSM and Mercopocalypse mod or 7,62 Hard life with GEG mod (give everyone guns)
800+ different guns
neat gameplay with realistic features (different ammo types like HP and FMJ behave different and grenades dont have an aura of damage buta ctually throw shittons of fragments, ricochets etc)
as /k/ as it gets imo

its a tactic game with the ability to stop time and give new orders
your dont actually steer your guys directly but only giventhem orders and every little dirt stain on your gun makes it behave slightly different
if you have too much weight on the front you have less recoil but readying the gun takes longer (and vice versa) , sights narrow your FoV (how much depends on sight) and other detailed things
but the basegame is really lacking or rather shitty without either hard life or BSM + Mercopocalypse mod

I often consider going back and playing it but then I remember I don't own a PC capable of running it any more.

its okayish i guess but i had a friend walk me through everything because the game doesnt tell you anything you need to know

the gameplay itself is easy to play but hard to master and there are quite a few guides on steam and youtube that tell you where to go and with what guy you should talk

in hard life you can also set many gameplay options that make it easier like cops not checking if you have a permit for the type of gun you have or checking for illegal weapons/modifications that kinda stuff

I should probably get to watch a guide about how to take on the missions and not to suck in firefights and try the game again. As further as i played i got a permanent (non paid) crew of 3 Incl the main character, and the best weapon were just SKSs and Shotguns. And an Mp5.

good, just what i was looking for

Am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to play Shadow of Chernobyl for the first time and so far I really strongly dislike it. I like the atmosphere, but that is it. Nothing else about this game seems good. The combat is bullshit. Why the fuck do staggering enemies have invincibility frames? This game is praised as hyper realistic, but enemies become completely invulnerable when they hunch over in pain? Is there a mod that can fix this or something? I AM playing on the hardest difficulty, and i think the game would probably be the perfect amount of challenge if they shitty staggering system was gone. Also I can't seem to hit shit, point blank shots with the suppressed makarov just don't do anything.

I also don't like how semi-automatic/automatic weapons suddenly become the most inaccurate weapon in existence when hip fired. Had times when someone would be right in my face in the trench and when I hold down the trigger on my BAR unless I'm aim down sights the shots won't him. Same thing for hand guns
