I wish I still had the picture, but I slammed a ~100lb sow with a 7mm rem mag at 15 feet when it came running out of thick underbrush right at me.

I was aiming for the head but it turned at the last second and I ended up ripping half its shoulder apart, and fucked it's lung up. Yet the hog still managed to run a good 15 yards before stopping.

This was a ~30lb hog that we were trying to get out of the woods quick and get it cleaned because of the bullet penetrating and ripping up some intestines. So we had to launch it over a barbed wire fence

It's hard to tell at night even with night vision. They pile up like Samoans at Golden Corral. I try to wait until one come out from the group so I can get s good shot. Doesn't always work out. Had sights on killzone of a big hog and after the smoke clears I either missed or blew a piglet in half

Depends on where you're hunting. How far away the hogs will be. If you're in a big open field it may be nice bc you'll have chances for follow up shots. Where I go it's heavily wooded so you get one shot then they're in the brush.

Does anyone use a red or green spotlight for night hunting a hog? In Florida, we can use a spotlight at night on private property to hunt them without a license or a bag limit year round. I'm looking for a good spotlight I can use (red preferably). Suggestions and links appreciated

Green lights seem to work well. Buddy has some mounted to his ar's and a big ass green light bar on his buggy. Not sure of the brands. Don't use em much anymore bc we both have night vision.
