My brother in laws father passed away and left him an assortment of firearms. He gave them to me because his wife was attempting to give them away or sell them. He has a variety of historic firearms (especially from Italy and Spain for some reason) but he has a rife that I can't seem to ID.
This rifle seems like an American rifle from the 60's but there's no markings on it at all.

Can we get a picture of the action around the bolt handle?
he also has a variety of Röhm Gesellschaft pistols and Spanish pistols. Here the ones I managed to bring with me.
He also has an Röhm Gesellschaft RG-14 which I found was pretty neat

I'm assuming that's rare? I'm not very knowledgeable on Remington. Should I defend this with my life and punch my sister in the face?

More likely it is a US Model 1917 military rifle that was later converted into a sporting rifle; there were waay more M1917s made than M30s . The Remington Model 30 is based on the Model 1917 (Remington made M1917s during WW1).

Punch her in the face, got it.

Even if it is a sporterized 1917 it looks particularly well done.

That's definitely a Mauser action.
It's probably a custom rifle built around a M1917 Enfield action or a Pattern 1914 Enfield action.
Both the M1917 Enfield and the Pattern 1914 Enfield rifles used a modified Mauser action.
