I can understand Cerakote getting dicked up in a downrange/field environment (Or privates fucking it up with baby wipes and torn up pieces of rags), but that looks just shitty to me.

I've had many bad experiences with Cerakote but also some impressive ones. I was surprised my Daniel Defense's Cerakote job was better than Knight's on their Legacy SR15s.

No one is going to bitch about issue weapons. The Decobond edition I have is impeccable. Every surface inside was decobonded.

Don't get me wrong. I'm aware that Colt hates money but at the same time cuts corners but they did the new M45A1s right.

Very comfortable to hold, nice solid grip. Heavier than a Sig Tacops 1911 I used to own. Less felt recoil than most 1911s. Decobond color is great for identifying carbon fouling, carbon slips right off as well. Accurate.

Very tight tolerances especially when new in box. Picky when it comes to magazines. My M45 does not like 8 round Wilson Combat magazines. When loaded with a full 8 round magazine you have to give the mag release a gooder push than most. The wilsons I mentioned previously, when loaded with a 8 rounder I could not set the pistol to battery using the slide release, I had to rack manually for the extra slide momentum.

The Chip McCormick 8s aren't a problem.
