Gun shows (and Renaissance faires) are great places to buy belts and blades.
You can typically find belts as thick as 1/4" (~6mm) at the larger gun shows.
That being said. I bought a wonder 9 at a show once.
A local pawn shop always has a table at the show.
Got it home and no mags would stay in.
Not factory mags.
Bought an aftermarket mag.
Aftermarket mags would not stay in either.
Sent gun in to manufacturer for repair.
They said seller must have taken out good parts and exchanged for his own (or a repair customer) parts.
Factory fixed the gun for free, which is awesome.
They took pictures of the parts that were in my gun vs the parts that were brand new from factory and emailed those to me.
I printed that out and went back to the store on a crowded Saturday afternoon and asked the owner "How could this have happened?"
"How could I have gotten USED parts in a NEW gun?"
Several people left.
I was kicked out and banned from the store.
Bad reviews on every website I could find.
Lesson learned: Be that dopey looking fucker that racks the slide, tests the trigger and reset, insert the mag over and over.
Don't give a fuck that people give me that look out the corner of my eye.
I've been burned once.
I always visit that pawn shop's table when I'm ready to leave the show, tee hee.

Also can find oddball treasures. Personally I just look for parts and can usually find what I want for less when taxes and shipping are considered. Fuck buying ammo there better off at lgs or walmart (NY area)

Recently scored a Bulgarian Mak with holster, 2 magazines, and a wooden contour grip for $315.
Not a steal, but not a bad price by any means.

i've only bought 2 things at the dozen or so gun shows i've attended over the years.

a correct sling for my yugo sks, and some 15 round mecgar magazines for my fn hi power.

everything else is over priced, new stuff I can get from a gun store, or non existent

I feel like I've been spoiled by my local gun show. I've picked up a C79 Elcan for 250, an AN/PVS-1 for 200, and a complete VLTOR CASV-M for 50.
A friend of mine got a Bill Davis built PPC revolver for 450, I scored a Dan Wesson .357 SuperMag for 600. There's always guys selling 1873 Winchester's and the like. Hell there's a super ancient guy with a display of Japanese handguns and militaristic who sells nothing but old handguns.

Also Jerky Guy and Taser Tard are there as well.
