whats all the hate with the Hi-Point? I've shot mine and the grouping at 25 yards is just as good as my .45 and my .22 revolver. os it just hated for being THE go to ghetto blaster?
Also, guns that get hate for no reason.
ugly getto blaster
They're fine, just hideous, ungainly, and unpleasant. Most people that want to carry get something more feasible than a solid block of zinc with a 9mm hole in it so it's ignored by those buyers. Hate is too strong of a word; most people either deride them or are apathetic.
>also because shit like this is their whole marketing effort

It's a richfag meme to shame people who don't have a ton of money
>>34269078
Also they don't look good that might be something

I'm almost tempted to buy a Four Tenths of an Inch Dispute Reconciler. It's so cheap.

its a great cheap gun to do fun stuff with. cleaning and maintaining is super easy. even if you dont, you're out $150.
Nothing
Once I get out of this handgun hating state I will buy two hundred dollar bill patterned ones because i can.

I don't hate them. What's there to hate desu? USA made, great warranty, reliable as any mid-range handgun, and is cheap. It's ugly but some people are more utilitarian than others.

I thought one of the complaints about them was that maintenance was kind of a pain in the ass on them.

well, removing the mag disconnect is easier than removing the one in the old all metal S&Ws

their pistol caliber carbines are ugly as sin and their price point is redundant given how much the market has expanded on that front meaning there's no need to buy them when you can get something better or cheaper now. If they ever make them to take Glock mags however, then we're talking.
Their pistols I personally find are clunky and heavy, they're still dirt cheap and for around $100 you could do worse I guess.
I think they have a no questions asked lifetime warranty on their products though, so that's pretty kickass if true.
I want one of their carbines in 9mm.
Anyone know if redball 15rounders fit in a type 79 chicom smg rig?

fellow hi point owner here:
I hate them for reliability reasons.
mag QC is shit, its rated for +p, and it's a fuckhuge blowback action.
these three things combined lead to jams. I can't fire mine more than 3 rounds without a stoppage.
>oh, you have shitty mag? ftf for you!
>oh, you no fire +p? fte for you
>oh, you not human vice grip? limpwrist for you!
inb4 muh warranty -- a warranty doesn't save your ass when it jams in a fire fight.
all this together with the fact that infinitely better pistols are available for just 75 or so bucks more makes me ignore the hipoint altogether. it's only virtue is that it is the cheapest gun that doesn't explode, unlike bryco, etc.

It's a fun meme to hate on them.
It's better than having no guns, and they aren't even bad guns. They're just memey and there are better options for, say, a carry gun
>>34268832
They're the single ugliest handgun ever designed, and have a reputation of being a nigger gun
I will seriously buy a Hi Point carbine in 9mm once this kit comes out
