Once a man went to me and told me he'd shoot me if I didn't give him my wallet. Highly depends on the "fake" type, and if the lighting is good enough to tell, and you can see clear enough down the barrel to see a clie to fakeness, they could easily blind you with an air pellet, bb or front venting blank.

Hell even some guns with shot out barrels will be so shiny and smooth it may look fake.

Not really worth it to get shot by a .22 that you thought was a bb gun.

They make cheap fuller sized looking guns in 22 for practice. 22 is roughly 6mm so similar barrel size, I wouldn't want to take the chance of being shot with a 22.

Quality blowback pistols are realistic enough to practice real life situations without killing your friends. It's not as awesome as simunition but it's close enough anon.
