Cost, anon. They're the type of people who believe one piece of kit should do everything. This makes sense because they're not preparing for any specific mission and only buy things based on the SHTF mentality. That's why they like ARs so much.

A military might deploy to a jungle, forest, desert, or mountain range environment with no notice.

A "SHTF" situation isn't going to see a militiaman or 3%er operating far from home. Investing in an environment specific camo makes more sense.

A good base of colour/pattern that has almost limitless variation options for 'personalisation'.

Such as the new Australian pattern, British MTP, Scorpion etc etc. Commonality with distinction.

Also to add to that, means that equipment/accessories manufacturers don't have to make their kit in 50 different patterns. Generic multicam will work with all of the distinct patterns without standing out and breaking the effect of the pattern.

Works in my area, it's a good pattern to buy all my shit in so I don't have to worry about maintaining multiple uniforms in different colors or sets of equipment
