He only got 1(one) center of mass hit, on the congressman's hip. He's had like 3 surgeries, multiple blood transfusions, and is still in critical condition. Had he not received immediate attention from the best medical professionals in the country, he'd probably be dead.

This demonstrates (for the millionth time) that shot placement is king, and that most centerfire rifles are plenty powerful.

You should only really buy an SKS at this point if you're really into what the gun stands for (history, aesthetic, etc), rather than what it is actually capable of. The prices have gone up such that you're better off getting something else. Para SKS's don't even have the history behind them since they were designed purely for the consumer market.
