Hey /k/, have shot my newish Rough Rider quite a few times, and I'm enjoying it, but .22LR is obviously pretty underwhelming, especially out of such a large handgun. Is paying the 45$ for a .22WMR cylinder worth it?
Bear in mind this will only ever be shot at paper and the occasional bottle. Thanks in advance.
pic not 'mine', but exactly the same as the one I have
You could try it out I suppose, but honestly you'd be better off saving up for a new gun.
If you want something with more oomph, and you like single-actions, a Ruger Blackhawk is pretty good, there's even Convertible models, like pic related, a .357 Magnum revolver that comes with an extra cylinder for 9mm Luger, giving you the option of very cheap plinking with something with a bit more authority to it.

What is this writing?

9mm is cheap plinking
it is also many times the velocity and weight of 22LR

Yes ! !
the price is right and anything that allows you to shoot more kinds of bullets is always a good thing.
