What are the pros and cons of different camo patterns
>>34260640
There are a few main categories of camouflage patterns.
>Transitional:
These boast the ability to work well in a variety of envrionments.
Examples: MultiCam, Italian Multiland, MTP,
>Tropical:
Green dominant, Used for summer and heavy live vegetation.
Examples: ATACS FG, MultiCam Tropic, MARPAT Woodland
>Arid:
Tan/Brown dominant. Obviously these work in dry and desert climates.
Examples: MARPAT Desert, ATACS AU, 3-Color Desert, CADPAT Desert
>White:
Works in snow.
>UCP
Doesn't work.

Good read
>>34260640
Are you in the forest and is it green?
CADPAT TR
Are you in the desert?
CADPAT AR
Are you in somewhere else?
Multimeme
Can't we all just agree that DPM is the only camo and everything else is shit?
>>34260700
Actually senpai, the Baltimore Riots showed UCP is extremely effective on American streets
>>34261356
>ackchually here's a picture
Yeah, every "camo" pattern is gonna work somewhere. Just because UCP works on grandma's couch and NWU works on the floor does not mean it's effective.
UCP apologists should be arrested.
>>34261271
Not so fast

EXCUSE ME
>>34263081
It's time for RED
>>34263096
>>34263096
I've never seen this camo before, what's it called?
>>34263096
That "comparison" is retarded. Almost all of the other patterns are fuckin ucp. Oh, and it doesn't compare other woodland patterns like marpat, atacs fg, dpm, flecktarn, fucking any of them.
>>34263115
Alpenflage, It's the old Swiss camo patter, it's since been replaced by the more conventional, possibly a bit less effective TAZ-90.
It's seemingly stupidly effective in woodland environments (especially when it isn't super-green). The red colour apparently fades out into the background as the human brain just kinda ignores it, especially at a distance. It's science or something.
>>34263176
>It's seemingly stupidly effective in woodland environments
...eh, looks okay.
>>34263156
>ATACS FG
>Flecktarn
MARPAT and DPM are fine, but just the mention of those two shows you don't know shit
>>34263201
>>34263201
>the mention of those two shows you don't know shit
>don't know shit about the popular patterns on a certain Japanese image board
Real world experience dictates otherwise. Nature does not cater to camo fads and both of those patterns are effective in woodland environments.
>>34263201
Shut the fuck up moron. Quit pretending like people have cracked the code on camo patterns. If the pattern has small and large elements to it and the colors are right, IT WILL WORK.
Best camo
best camo
>>34261356
>American streets
Those vary pretty widely guy.
>>34260640
>People's Liberation Army Army
>>34263260
Where can I get some?
>>34260717
saved
>>34261356
>stand next to anything that's not grey
>get spotted and shot immediately
Sounds great tbqhwyfam
Opinion on M05?
I really like
Spec4ce Afghan Forest
>>34265973
fuck wrong pic
>>34265973
>>34266002
Yes.
>>34260640
I have some British Woodland DPM, it must be meant for tropical jungles because it is way to dark for southern Ontario, Flektarn is quite usefull especially in fall but Cadpat works best in the summer go figure
>>34260640
>tfw neverending tigerstripe nightmare
being a chair sucks sometimes
>>34263176
Its surprisingly effective in the southeast US during fall
>>34260640
I want to see the plants that make China think teal is a good color for camo.
Can I get jackets in the US that have Russian camo on them?
so is A-TACS FG a meme?
I want Tru-spec's TRU pant and love how the pattern looks.
Is Tru-spec>Propper?
>>34271373
No, works bretty good for woodland.
>>34271373
Just get some tan trousers and green spraypaint.
It lacks contrast, and that's bad.
>>34260640
PLA Army pros: Aesthetic, cuz teal
cons: you live in China
>>34260717
nice
>>34269235
probably
>>34261271
I do believe that even the MoD would disagree with you, sir.
>no "lowland" or "highland" ERDL
Charlie pls
>>34266920
It's meant for European forests and woodland, the older woodland DPM patterns are a lot darker than the first iterations.
>>34265976
Lord only knows why they decided to issue them the woodland variant. HyperStealth even made a multi-environment and desert version.
Is Alpenflage still the best camo?
>>34263008
If anything, this picture shows how effective that camo would be in high sea.
>>34260640
>>34274019
Different camos work well in different environments.
>>34275329
>all that glorious CADPAT
One of the few things I have to be proud about as a leaf
>>34275371
>leaf is proud of dark foliage
is this some subtle "BLACKED" joke?
Why aren't military's making bird camo? Or nature camo in general, you ever tried spotting sparrows amongst leaves?
>>34275406
>ayo why ain't we got tiger stripes yet
>>34273414
I think it's the same reason IDF issue od greens. ID and also they look like a bush in the desert and blend in with some of the vegetation in Afghanistan.
>>34275406
Durr suits when?
>>34261356
I will tell you what, the UCP fucking sucks 95% of the time but I had an old UCP backpack since high school that for whatever reason faded with a slight redish tint, and that fucker was perfect for an urban environment.
>>34263176
>It's seemingly stupidly effective in woodland environments
Maybe if you're hugging moss and trees.
>>34275378
Nah, I just think it's aesthetic AF
>>34275511
good taste m8
>>34263096
the color red sure breaks up the shape of the jacket
>>34274019
what is going on in this picture
>>34276509
Autism.
>>34260640
yup, yah
Auscam is the best pattern
I still love thee old British woodland DPM
>>34277351
Not a massive fan of the desert one.
