Attention Ohiofags
Cleveland IX center is having a tank and military vehicle show.
Pics of the IX center in its glory days
Does drive a tank have stuff to look at if I don't want to shell out the $300 to drive something?

As much as I hate Wargaming's pay-2-win bullshit, they've really done an excellent job in promoting museums and military education. Meanwhile, Gaijin does absolute fuckall and cockblocks their userbase time and time again.

In it's glory days, it made B-24s.

That's really the deciding factor for me as well. Both are companies looking to make money, but at least WG seems to understand (to a degree) that people like to give you money more when you treat them like people.
That being said, War Thunder has become a decidedly less shit game than it was a while ago, and I find to be more fun to play than WoT.
>>34258414
Not really anything tank related, but they've got an indoor range where you can shoot some full autos (for a pretty high price).

Heh, wouldn't that the dream. With WoT style company but WT style gameplay n' all. Maybe a bit more tank variety, but whatevs.
From what I hear, WT might be going into the modern era, not just some April Fools thing with modern tanks.

Wish I was visiting Ohio so I could go. Definitely don't wish I lived there, just wish I could visit.
On a side note, WOT is my shit, I use my M24 Chaffee as a arty hunter and fast strike and retreat calvary. Ive got a few driver perks and now it has become like a sports car. TANKU-DRIFTU

I have to give Gaijin this; the modern tanks event was fucking brilliant. If it's huge then it was a demo. If it flopped then it was an april fools day joke.
It would certainly give them a decided advantage, and I can't say I'd be able to pass up trying to go from the T2 Light Tank all the way up to an M1A2 or A3. Unlike WoT, WT has already embraced smoothbore guns and ATGMs, so the mechanics are in place for ground forces at least. SAMs might be an issue, and god only knows how much it's gonna suck trying to manually track supersonic jets at low altitude with SPAAGs.
>>34258344
Neo fag here. They doing this right now?
>>34259941
Agreed. I would pay out my ass for supersonic jets, even given Gaijin. All that would only make the game better in the end, as a result of the inherent tiering system.
Of course you have the powercreepfags and WW2 diehards, but really, most people want MiG-19s and M1A2s, not biplanes.
>>34259533
True. But then it made tanks.
And I like tanks (and afv) more.

June 22-24 so no, not right now.
Next weekend.
Twinsburgfag, going with my father. It should be fun.

FINALLY LIVING IN OHIO PAYS OFF
>>34258578
A couple of years ago wargaming announced that they were willing to restore the Maus to working condition, but gaijin pulled the "restoring a Nazi tank is unpatriotic" nonsense and the restoration was shitcanned.
>>34262585
It wasn't Gaijin, it was the staff of the Kubinka Museum in Russia that said it was unpatriotic.
>>34258344
Fuck yes! Thanks OP
