I'm a newfag and even I know that those are some weird custom sights to line up with the red dot, that way if your batteries fail you can still aim somewhat well without having to guess or pry off your red dot so you can use your irons.

Hey /k/ while we're in a thread about the glocks, I was recently thinking about getting a G19 gen4 for concealed carry because the Marines are switching to it but then I see the mud test video. I'm using a 1911 right now but was thinking I should switch to 9mm for the double stack capacity. Should I or should I not buy the gen4? I'm not planning on taking it anywhere where there's mud.

-have to buy an extended slide stop
-have to buy an extended slide release
-have to buy night sights/suppressor night sights
-have to do a trigger job because the trigger sucks
-no Manual safety or at least grip safety
-have to buy threaded barrel
-several hundred dollars over priced
-doesn't have removable trigger group that acts as the gun itself legally soaking like with the sig p320
-most common handgun in the world and still the oem magazines are fucking overprice, brand new steel ak mags are twice as cheap when being much harder to make vs just a plastic mold.
-can't shoot cast bullets
-not even actual polygonal rifling. Go look at polygonal rifling on Wikipedia and see the photo they use of that brush cannon with polygonal rifling, Glock rifling is nothing like that and real polygonal rifling actually has less lead fouling.

Why would I ever buy a glock when I can get a cz po9 or a cz 75 sp01 omega urban grey compact?
It cost less or just as much, the latter is all steel, both have threaded barrels and raised night sights.
