Why are antique guns not way more expensive than they are?
I mean, you can buy a 17th century shotgun, that still works (a great piece of engineering) for really not that much money. In lock stock and 2 smoking barrels the shotguns were worth 400-700 thousand each, but in my browsing i really havent found any antique guns that have fetched that kind of price. Guns should be incredibly valuable. They are working relics that will work forever and never break.

supply and demand.
besides most antiques aren't worth that much right now, i filled my house with colonial furniture for firewood prices right after the economic collapse. people want new stuff, but there are still some high dollar antique guns out there, historical significance plays a big role.
