Does anyone have one of their barrels?
Apparently they're a quality barrel maker and even make barrels for some companies that produce 338 Lapua or 300 win mag ars.
I'd like to get an 18 inch heavy or bull Barrel rifle length 1:8 twist 4140 barrel with 5t rifling. I'll mainly be shooting reloads, 230 grain hard cast bullet at 2400 fps and also suppressed.
Also I'd like to know whether I should spend the extra money on the melonite. It's 100 extra.
My options are 416r ss
4140 chrome Molly
4140 chrome Molly melonite
If you had to guess how many rounds it take to half the mechanical accuracy of these 3 options what would it be?

You're gonna have a fun time getting your load dialed in to cycle and also not lead up the bore.
Melonite should help for that, I'd say go for it.
Barrel life depends on a LOT of factors.

Wouldn't it cycle no matter what if I'm running a suppressor?
Also 230 grains at 2400 fps is a fairly hot load, it should cycle without a suppressor.
Would it help getting a mid length gas system instead of rifle length?
Let's say you use the same gun, use the same ammo from the same manufacturing lot and in the Same weather conditions with the barrels being of equal quality.
How many rounds would it take to half the accuracy of said barrels?
