Depends, many questions weren't answered. About how much punishment those shields can take, and if those shields have a minimum safe distance before activation. A couple of upward facing EFP mines when they step on them. And if said shields can be simply overwhelmed by concentrated fire.

I'm torn between two options. First, just to run and hide and survive. The second to attempt to inflict any damage I can, hoping that others will do the same. If they even NOTICE my damage attempts enough to take action against me, they're acknowledging that my attempts are at the very least bothersome or at best possibly a threat to them. If lots of like minded folks, plus whatever military we have left, are dealing out similar or more impressive attempts, the effect might be what we're trying for.

Just because getting bitten by an ant or a wasp doesn't kill me doesn't mean that enough harassment by the buggers won't make me leave. Yeah, they may blowtorch me, but if they're catching it from all sides, it may deter them or we may find a weakness to exploit that we'd never know if we just ran and waited to be gassed or nuked.
