Can you enlighten me on the Mexican cartels, and what's going on there? Are all these pics of cartel members, or government agents that fight the cartels? Also, what is it that makes the cartels interesting?

So far these are all cartel pics. To put it briefly it's a battle of cartel vs cartel vs the government with more twists than anything Hollywood can think of.

Manuel Torres Félix
El M1
El Ondeado

"According to the United States Department of the Treasury, Torres Félix got public attention on 18 April 2008 when rival members of the Beltrán-Leyva Cartel assassinated his son Atanasio Torres Acosta in an ambush attack, injuring his daughter Alondra (aged 4) and sister-in-law Sandra Rivas Heredia (aged 24).At the crime scene, the gunmen left a written message on the behalf of Arturo Beltrán Leyva:

"On behalf of your friend [Arturo] and his nephews Los Zetas. So you can understand, Manuel Torres."

With the death of his son, Torres Félix reportedly "went crazy" and took revenge of the perpetrators by torturing them in his home.According to police reports, the death of Anastasio marked the beginning of the cartel war in the state of Sinaloa.Torres Félix became one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in Sinaloa; hundreds of deaths were attributed to the commandos led by Torres Félix, who earned the pseudonym of "El Ondeado" ('The Crazy One') for his emotional instability that started after the death of Anastasio."

"What happened next has been written about by all and sundry, “El Ondeado” previously showed symptoms of being a psychopath. Given his past behavior this is quite credible concerning Manuel Torres Felix, and the death of his son must of driven him over the edge, or did it? “El Tachio” had been involved in drug trafficking from a young age, and as a male Torres Felix he probably had little other choice than to follow his father and uncle into drug trafficking. “El Tachio” knew the risks, was considered a CDS operative, and so his death at the hands of rivals or the police or armed services was a specified risk. As is evidenced by the last list in this article.

The same goes for the death of Joaquin Guzman’s son at the hands of the BLO, he was a CDS operative. However, the sister of “El Tachio”, Alondra 4 years of age, was shot in the right forearm the bullet exited her arm and embedded itself into her shoulder, she later had her right forearm amputated. One could argue that this attack on a female child of his family, whose innocence is incontestable, actually pushed him over the edge, and turned his psychopathic condition into one with psychosis."

"That could explain the complete and utter butchering rampage that he went on a few days after the attack on his son and her sister. He sent out, word has it, all of the Sicario’s at his disposal to round up anyone from the BLO or Zetas, and anyone who was deemed to give them support, kidnap them and take them to his ranch, where “El Ondeado” gave vent to his psychosis and sadistically and cruelly tortured everyone rounded up, before killing them.

One of his victims was the municipal police commander Roberto Carlos Barcelo Villagran, who had his back sliced to ribbons with knives, his legs cut off and then his head cut off while he was still alive, his body was dumped with two others in the trunk of a car.

His Sicarios started dumping bodies all over Culiacan, mostly all dismembered with harrowing signs of torture, mostly the dismemberment’s happening while they were still alive.

....those who couldn’t be captured for torture were shot or burnt alive:.... some sources quote the death toll for this week at over 200."

I find it incredible how brazen these guys are. Out in the open, totally displaying their affiliation. It's amazing. In the US, you can get pulled over for openly showing outlaw type gang affiliation. Mexico is the wild west.
>>
>>34240431
They can just relinquish control over to the US, and we'll clean it up in two years, provided libs don't get in the way
>>
>>34240431
Until the people decide to take up arms and the government quits pretending to be combating this shit, no.

Also, it won't stop until we start fucking with their livelihood. I'm talking destroying all the product we can find, destroying their mansions, safehouses, labs, and storage sites, and creating sheer chaos within the cartel. We gotta start making some of these jefes "disappear" and end up at what is totally not a CIA blacksite.
>>

I want to remind everyone that the cartels are a very real danger to the US. And there are people here who actually believe in not securing the southern border.

no jihadis need be involved. Training has been primarily provided by ex Mexican military, Guatemalan Kaibiles, perhaps an odd mercenary or two and lately, word has been that some FARC types are there as well.

A few actually get training here in the US. They are Military or Police but the reality is that they are narcos.

How do I get into the shooty bits of the CIA? I don't care about super secret intel. I just wanna kill some brown people
>>
>>34240724
My best advice is get a degree, become an officer, go special forces, get a top secret clearance, keep your nose clean, make friends with people in the intelligence field, get some combat experience, and then seek out a CIA recruiter. Your choices (that I know of) are SAD (Special Activities Division) which is basically deep cover operating. Like we're talking dying your skin darker using tea, becoming fluent in a language and totally suppressing your accent, coloring the iris of your eyes, dying your hair, all that shit.

Your other choice is GRS (Global Response Service) which is more of a private security deal. If you've seen 13 Hours, you'll know what I'm talking about. If not, imagine PMCs with TS clearances, heavily armed, guarding CIA sites. To get into that, I recommend getting into SF as well. GRS, if I'm not mistaken, is considerably easier to get into than SAD, since SAD requires you to gather intel and operate, whereas GRS basically requires you to be a very proficient trigger puller who gives a fuck about OPSEC.
>>
>>34240720
Ask yourself why they would need lessons from AQAP when their own ranks contain members that have far more extensive experience battling other enemy cartel cells as well as Federal police, Mexican Army and Mexican Marines?

See the guy on the right? One of Chapo Guzman's top operators. He died in bed having had some 40 years experience as a narco.

It's not necessarily that they would need them, but more of a thing where I'm sure they pay a pretty penny to get guys to instruct who have real life experience fighting special operations guys.

Other than fighting the cartels, the Mexican military (who regularly get BTFO'd by sicarios) have practically zero experience fighting an actual war.

The cartels need to know how to combat regular, conventional forces and jihadis have been doing that for nearly two decades.
>>
>>34240807
To expand on that, the cartels want to know how to fight against Americans. Fighting US special forces or elite law enforcement is definitely different than fighting the Mexican authorities. There's a reason nobody hears about how effective their SF is.

>>
>>34240807
>(who regularly get BTFO'd by sicarios

Actually it's the other way around. Cartel types typically hit and run against military units unless they seriously outnumber them. El Ondeado from higher up in the thread? He was killed in a shootout with the army. As a matter of fact, quite a number of capos and cell leaders have met their deaths via the military.

Have worked with Mexican federal police and municipal police in Tijuana and Cuidad Juarez. There was some gruesome ass shit. Worse than what I saw overseas. Body parts in the middle of the streets, bodies hanging from bridges or in front of daycare/kindergarten, bodikes burnt to a crisp, fingers and dicks mailed to loved ones. Fucking mad. The cartels are mostly poor youths with little to no training, they just give them a gun, some money and tell them who to kill. Most of these kids will die within a year or two, believing that they'll make songs about them for whatever cartel shot they did. But no one is safe from it, the cartels always know where you are. There was this guy who was a rat in Tijuana and they killed him, his immediate family and even some cousins.
When insane the movie Sicairo I thought it was a fucking joke, Hollywood could never really capture what's going on down there.
Worst thing I ever heard was a kidnapped family of a Federal Police officer, they got his new born baby and ran it over in front of him while they raped his wife. They let him go and let killed himself

Finally he said to hell with it and got on the payroll, was arrested, bribes his way out of prison and came up here to the US.
>>
>>34241320
>So does anyone else feel the desire to do something about the cartels the more they learn about them?
Yep. Partially because what they do is horrifying, and needs to be stopped, but also because when I look at this, I see a way I can be beneficial to my country

There's a conspiracy with some pretty solid evidence that China is routing opiates from Afghanistan to Central America in order to destabilize the region so they can put in socialist governments and eventually have communist countries in the US's backyard.

You can see how Taliban opium+communism+illegal immigration can be a huge security concern. Just one of the theories out there.

All I know is that there are international figures at play, and that it goes to the highest echelons of society. There are billionaires taking money to these people and corporations with their cargo ships and planes bringing this shit into the US and elsewhere.

Pretty much why I like it.

I love the idea of militias/civilians fighting. And cartels are as close as you're gonna get to American militias or civs fighting it out.

I like seeing how they gear up without militery regulations and just have what they want/need.

Then I live out my red dawn fantasies in my head while stroking my penis

Theres futility on both sides. Imagine being a broke ass kid who didn't graduate high school and some macho motherfucker with a gun tells you he'll pay you to hold a gun and kill a motherfucker. Now imagine being a broke as fuck kid that barely graduated High school and the government pays you next to nothing to fight other kids who know who you are and where your mom goes to mass. I always heard stories of guys getting killed by their partners because they were paid off or crooked. You can literally not trust anyone

Ironically Mexico is doing fairly well for a latin american country, as their economy has boomed and is threatening to overtake Brazil.

There's a reason they still have some money to buy all those drugs and have the cartels armed with some serious hardware.

"“They were brought handcuffed behind
the back to the death house
where they found thirty-six bodies,”
he rolls on. “A T-shirt was soaked with
gasoline and put on their backs, lit,
and then after a while pulled from their
backs. The skin came off with it. Both
men made sounds like cattle being
killed. They were injected with a drug
so they would not lose consciousness.
Then they put alcohol on their testicles
and lit them. They jumped so
high—they were handcuffed and still
I never saw people jump so high.”
We are slipping now, all the
masks have fallen to the floor. The
veteran, the professional sicario, is
walking me through a key assignment
he completed.
“Their backs were like leather and
did not bleed. They put plastic bags
on their heads to smother them and
then revived them with alcohol under
their noses.

“All they ever said to us was, ‘We
will see you in hell.’
“This went on for three days. They
smelled terrible because of the burns.
They brought in a doctor to keep reviving
them. They wanted them to
live one more day. After a while they
defecated blood. They shoved broomsticks
up their asses.
“The second day a person came and
told them, ‘I warned you this was going
to happen.’
“They said, ‘Kill us.’
“The guys lived three days. The doctor
kept injecting them to keep them
alive and he had to work hard. Eventually
they died of the torture.
“They never asked God for help.
They just kept saying, ‘We will see you
in hell.’
“I buried them with their faces down
and poured on a whole lot of lime.”
He is excited. It is all back.
He can feel the shovel in
his hand."

The drug traffic problem its pretty much a global problem, but if the production and transport of drugs becomes too difficult due to an actual working government keeping poverty low and effectively fighting against narcotrafic. druglords will look for better alternatives, after all there's the rest of sudamerica to produce and transport by sea its a pretty big deal with narcotics

Heroin, and then cocaine in the late 70s/early 80s, and then in the 90s-2000s, counter-cartel cartels like Los Zetas. They're all constantly shifting alliances with each other, buying each other off and then killing each other until the end of the world. As for funding, it rather obviously comes from drugs and hits on rival cartels and their associates. They get their guns either from stealing or self-manufacturers, generally. They do also get some money from corrupt politicians, policemen, and the like.

Surprisingly, they can be on par with each other both in terms of inadequacy and conversely effectiveness. Some cartel members are vaqueros who learned how to shoot and take care of themselves on a basic level, like the small amount of jihadis that are or are trained by mujahideen fighters. Converse to this, both the cartels and jihadis employ children and teenagers, who more than often prove to be little more than zip-guns for assassination or intimidation.

>dude this rad movie

I grew up in Arizona. The Mexicans (shut the fuck up with your Mexican-American bullshit, they are proud of where they are from, unlike you) were never a problem until California completed their border wall. Then, it changed from occasional vatos shooting up each other to business killings. The man without a face and hands was a business killing. Somebody post the webm.

So, the state adjacent built a wall, and then a Mexican changed from an honest, hard worker whose children might shoot someone in an honorable gang fight to a potential cartel member.

Tell me again how walls don't work.

And California was blue.

Mexico will be USA's only real problem in the future, the war on drugs is a necessary evil to keep Mexico Weak. Who controls North America controls the world. I want the United States of America to control North America not Mexico.. a weak Mexico is a good thing if you're American. And don't come to me with any hippy dippy bullshit if you don't understand geopolitics or are a traitor to USA.

Agreed. Soon my brothers.

I'd apply today but you need to be US Citizen. I'm a Brit on a green card. Start the Citizen process end of this year since the 5year wait period is up.

Day I'm a citizen I'm applying to the academy.

If you ever find yourself with a bong with a Union Jack tattoo on his right forearm, it's me.

America has been VERY good to me. It's time I return the favor.

Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano
Z-3
El Lazca
El Verdugo

"Lazcano made a name for himself by decapitating his victims, putting them in acid baths, and for torturing and killing hundreds of people.
When punishing victims, Lazcano became known for using a torture method known as "La Paleta" ('The Popsicle'), in which victims were stripped naked and brutally beaten with a board. A reporter also recalls that Lazcano reportedly tied a man to a tree and beat him until he broke his legs, and then left him tied to the tree for two or three days until he died. According to the Mexican authorities, Lazcano owned a ranch with several lions and tigers, which he used to get rid of his victims.Lazcano also used effective intimidation kills to keep his subordinates in check. He reportedly dumped his victims (or their children) in large barrels of boiling oil. When he found out that some of his men were stealing from him, Lazcano would force one of them to watch while his henchmen grabbed a 2-by-4 and beat the other to death. When they were dead, the executioner would then cut out the victim's heart (Lazcano threw the organs away, but other drug lords have forced their guests to eat the organs of the victims).Lazcano also pioneered the decapitation techniques that Los Zetas now employ, and protected witnesses have said that Lazcano would let captured rivals starve to death because he liked to watch the process or that he would let them be eaten by wild animals"

The freedoms and rights you guys have are second to none. I'll die before I give them up. At 27 I'm too old for the militery in any effective role. So I'll fight a closer enemy.

Glad you guys are so welcoming, look forward to doing you proud anon!

They were doing pretty well iirc, till the govt infiltrated the militias to enforce its duopoly on violence.
Not good to have an armed populace when more than half of it would love to see most politicians go to jail.

Americans could learn what a world with strict gun laws looks like by taking a trip down south...

This pic from the 90s is an American.

David Barron aka Popeye aka El CH was a Barrio Logan Heights gang member and also member of the Mexican Mafia (La Eme)

He went down to Tijuana and hooked up with the CAF and became a top shooter and enforcer. He was killed by a ricochet fired by one of his own guys as he was walking up to finish off a newspaper editor they just ambushed.

Seems to me like that guy is an example of why autocracy will always fail. Listen to some of his early speeches, he was humble as fuck and his principles would've made Jefferson proud. However, he:
-did not establish a reliable way to propagate the constitutoonalist ideology without him
- did not formulate a system to avoid corruption due to personal greed
- eventually became corrupted by his status and power.
To top it off, his less-principled subordinates took over when the govt shot down his plane. The movement got infiltrates by govt agents and went to shit.

A tragic story of freedom nipped in the bud.

Funny how my internet is always slow when posting on political threads...

Tbh I can't quote her precisely, but most libs masturbate at the thought of mexican-style gun laws where there is a single gun store in the entire could try run by the govt. If you doubt me, Google it and see all the stories on it by american news outlets.

Funny how the same news outlets will quietly remove Latin america from their statistics when they want to argue that gun laws work.
>>
>>34242151
I seriously doubt they could find me now. If I still lived in Texas maybe. But in the US it's a completely different ball game. The police aren't corrupt, murders are investigated, I know literally everyone in my town. If someone saw another Mexican or something, someone would let me know

But that job gave me the financial stability to do what I want, have a family, live where I want, and shoot what I want
>>
>>34242275
Had a guy i knew was from one of their rival gangs. Word on the street was that if he mainly recruited his homeboys but was willing to forgive and forget rivals if they showed promise.

He was hooked with another Eme member from San Diego named Jose Marquez aka Bat.

He abused his power, alienated most of his followers, the autodefensias he was in charge of basically fell apart, he got arrested for being a vigilante and pretty immediately turned 180 and said he was sorry for disrespecting the government of Mexico, said he and his men would lay down their arms, he went everywhere with his wife and put on a facade but was banging some girl younger than his kids, and he is/was a suspect in a quadruple homicide.

Zetas split into three factions. The main faction which is out of the homeland of Nuevo Laredo is now called Cartel del Norte (CDN).

They are at war with original Zetas that have gotten out of prison recently.

Zetas split mainly over Z-40 betraying Z-3, El Taliban and others and overall being an asshole. The original Zetas coming out of prison accused Z40 of betraying everything the Zetas stood for. As things are it's a stalemate with the government hammering at all of them.

of the originals left in action it's hard to say but very few of them are left.
