Thanks, I chose it because it had good reviews and the leather matched the color of my 2 favorite pairs of shoes. I plan on getting 2 more in brown and Black so I can carry and still look well coordinated. This is the holster I went with it has the option for me to unscrew the side clips and ad one on the holster for appendix carry. so I figured it would be a good option while I'm figuring out what works best for me.

I think it's a great backup gun or run to the store super quick gun but it sucks to shoot. You will probably get bad habits from it as far as anticipation and flinch go. MoA for revolvers is basically idiot proof. It's great for newbs since you can see if it's loaded and there's really only one control you have to worry about.
It's a tough call. I would say if you like it, get it - but def get something else to help learn marksmanship fundamentals. If you're dead set on a revolver maybe get a 22 LCR or something.
Let's put it this way, I shoot with the same couple of guys about once a week. When I bring it out to practice, one won't even shoot it after the first time and the other has only put a handful of rounds though it just for laughs at out much recoil there is. I don't mind it so much but I am used to big recoil.

In that case, the 442 is great but also check out the LCR, it shoots a bit softer and is kinda similar in size. Stay the fuck away from charter arms and Taurus. For ammo go with Winchester PDX1 38 +Ps. They did very well in Lucky Gunner's snub nose testing and are pretty easy to come by. That's what I carry in mine and I can buy it at my area Walmart.
Carrying a reload is a good idea. A speed strip hides better but a good loader is faster, at least IMO.

You may want to finger fuck some smaller autos, they tend to be thinner than a revolver because the cylinder is so wide. Look at the Glock 42/LCP/ect in .380. I would rather have the .38 but a .380 may hide better for you. At least you can carry an extra mag in another pocket.

It's adjustable. The two torx screws have a rubber piece to squish down to add or relieve tension. I can shake it and not lose the gun but a good pull and it pops free.
For my first time ever fucking with kydex I think it came out OK. OWB is next. I am going with Boltaron for that one.

It is p heavy but it can be improved with some light stoning and a spring kit. Apex Tac or Wilson Combat both make good spring kits.
You can send it off for stoning aka a "trigger job" to a gunsmith but if you want to do it yourself you can just buy the the stones and follow YouTube. As shitty as he is, nutnfancy has a video where he looks over the shoulder of a non-autismo who explains what he's doing as he does the trigger job on nutn's J frame. Jerry also has a trigger job vid but he doesn't go into nearly as much detail as nutn's 'smith.

Update on the holster setup. I find the best way to use this is as a small of back holster around the 4:30 to 5 O'clock position with the clips adjusted to maximize the cant. It lays flush against my back with this setup and the grip is tilted towards my right hip for easy drawing. Concealability is excellent with me being able to wear the smaller t shirts, and slim fit button downs/Hawaiians that I prefer, with no obvious bulk under the shirt or the ass of my jeans. This is great since I live in Arizona and the heat makes it difficult for any cover garments to be worn with out you dying of heat stroke, or everyone knowing you're hiding shit under there. The IWB mag pouch I ordered came as well, it seems to work well and is a good fit for the mags. All of the items are tuckable and it can work tucked but I will have to get a belt that matches the black clips for it not to be a give away.

Appendix Mexicarry, my draw response is the same as it was with my K-rounds appendix holster. Sits a little lower but I have no problem getting a good grip and drawing. I shortened the cord for quicker guard detachment. I've always carried appendix so I'm not really a good judge for IWB, before that it was pocket carry LC9S/LCP.

When I first switched it was heavenly, not having a bulky holster, even though that holster was pretty small anyways. Take your gun, empty it, and stick it in your appendix waist area, that's how it feels.

It's a shit Chink knife I got last Christmas I got from someone who doesn't know knives. It's actually not that bad for a POS. It's stout as fuck and is 1/4" thick the whole way through but it's just 440, so the steal isn't great. I think I will make some G10 handles for it for practice. The sheath I made for practice out of a kydex scrap.
I forget the brand but it's some BS like "Herman Ritcher" but spelled more German-ish.
