It's the most reliable semi beltfed I own. That's the biggest drawback on semi btbfeds, so many are unreliable. I have a Maxim that should be back from the builder within a month and after that I am debating a mg34 or 249s. The mg34 has the negative of horrible reliability and the 249s has the negative of not being a very important historical piece

Yeah I know what you mean they cost a fortune but for some reason have issues working
My M1919 works mostly ok just for some reason the top cover likes to pop up once in a while,

The case looks ok and is not bulged or anything probably the headspace?

The other belt fed I have is the TNW MG34, craftsmanship alone it's wonderful, but have only had a chance to put a few rnds through and ran like shit. Failures to push the rounds out of the belt. Told TNW they told me to try some other belts as the 42 belts are stiffer the the 34s and youneed to find belts that work for you... I picked up a few for $2.00 a piece and havn't tried it since.

From what I seen the M249 looks to be as good as the RPD, but at the price they are asking I'd rather save up for a M2HB semi.

Fuck though a DSHK is a dream gun for me though, fucking parts kits are impossible to find yet alone to find a guy who knows how to build it, semi it, and 50 BMG chamber it.
