Man I done some fun shit with them judges.
I took me some PDX rounds and shot them into some ballistic torsos. Shit went decently well. Decently is the key word. I'm not a doctor or a ballistics specialist, so take this shit with a grain of salt of course.
So then I loaded it with 45lc and took note that they blasted way through it. Not real sure what you'd take from that, but to me it's this:

>45lc could be good, but idk much about over penetration or whatnot. So assuming that's not an issue, I'd rather have something on me that just shot 45lc exclusively.
With that said, I keep a judge on every ATV on my property with snakeshot. That's what I imagine it's meant to be used for, a neat trail gun.

i have one and it's great. i carry it wherever i go for self defense or against bears. i only get to really use it at the range but you never know though! i live in an open carry state so i keep it in my lateral shoulder holster with my spare shells on the opposite suspender. people tell me all the time they don't like having the barrel point at them when they stand behind me, but i tell them about how safe i am by not putting my finger on the trigger when i draw it out. when i get home though i leave it in my truck for shtf purposes. that way i have my truck gun and my judge in my truck in case i can't put on my kit and grab my hd shotgun in time.

It's a Taurus so I'd rather use anything else such as Smith and Wesson's equivalent. It seems kinda meme-y but by all means it seems to pass the FBI standard tests in gel with the right loadings so I can't bash it for that.

Personally I would prefer to buy the Ruger Super Redhawk.
It shoots .44 Magnum , .44 Special , .454 Casull , .45 Colt cartridges.

and the price is only a bit more than the Taurus Raging Judge. And of course the quality is way better also.

Don't know about the polymer ones..

But the metal frame ones are nice. Shoots .45lc straight. PDX .410 ammo is pretty brutal self defense round and birdshot is fine for a snake gun when your out at the river or something. Don't expect anyone on /k/ to ever be impressed or even able to get past the retarded "Taurus Meme" though.

Most of the people who hate it either have never actually used one and just want to regurgitate what they've read online, or think every gun they own needs to be a top of the line, name brand, high-speed, cover of the gun magazine, safe queen.

this op, /k/ is only good at spouting memes. The judge does a fine job as a close range defense weapon. This whole "the judge/governor is worthless" started because of how weak .410 bird shot is. This thing with 000 buck, or other rounds like the PDX will do plenty of damage. A few trigger pulls of 000 buck can tear an entire ballistic gel block to pieces.
