Towards that end, there is often a thread up in the weeks preceding an event. And I've given you various answers, so let me try again.

I'm qualified to fly a multi-engine aircraft with a max takeoff weight over 12,500 pounds. I'm also unable to operate an aircraft that has service ceiling or maximum operating altitude, whichever is lower, above 25,000 feet msl.

What comes to mind is a Beechcraft King Air 200.

It's right at that 12,500# mark, but the ceilings are up at 35,000 feet, so let's just say I'm able to get the training to fly at the altitude.

First off, good luck finding one to -rent-. Key emphasis on rent because the outfits that own KAs don't want some pilot showing up, getting a few hour checkout then bending their airplane that they have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in maint and lost revenue for. To charter one it's roughly $2000-2500/hr with a few hour minimum each day and a per diem for the crew. It's hard to get hard numbers there because it's like buying a car, the price is flexible enough depending on just what you want and need to make it hard to nail down. Not to mention they're usually serving people who don't give two shits about money so there's no need to advertise for the lowest rates.

But let's say you find somewhere that will rent you a King Air, and get me checked out to fly it. Now you're talking about $1500-2000/hr for fuel, oil, insurance(this is the one that really fucks you),etc.

That's the most basic I can get you on that.

There's a shitton of federal regulations that I much rather would not dive into, but the gist of what I understand is this:

-Guns can be transported on aircraft under the Federal Safe Passage Act (Peaceable journey from one state to another, like your car)

-Ammo has specific requirements regarding labelling and storage, however as long as it's for personal use on a personal airplane, in it's original packaging, locked up separate from the gun, and isn't being transported for hire or being imported/exported the ATF and TSA couldn't give two shits. Though this is one of those situations where you could probably just toss it in an ammo can and put it in the plane, no one's going to check. Usually.

-Tannerite might be a bit iffy. I can't find anything specific for GA aircraft, but we're going into the explosives territory. Saying that sentence on here probably got me onto a watchlist. Again. I wouldn't be comfortable with it, even though I know it needs to be mixed and requires the heat and pressure to set off. Not to mention you could probably buy some at a gun store at your destination.

What are the logistics of a Canuckistani bringing guns down for this?

Nothing tactical, just some bolt actions, a pump action shotgun and SVT 40 (Likely Nuggets for the BA)

He has tractors and "Ethel" to remove trees. What he needs is labor. He just turned 63. He can't clear brush or cut wood like he used to twenty years ago.

Literally 2/3 of his 121 acres is timber we can use for firewood. We don't have to cut down trees, there's plenty of downed ones. We have tractors, trailers, chains and anything we need to snake out the downed trees.

He has railroad ties to use to build a bridge across the ditch from the campground to the firing line. He has a cement mixer and cedar poles to use for a better outhouse.

On his own it'll take several years to do all this. I can only get out there so often, I'm looking at a month-long TDY next month.

In 2015 I tried to get a working party together the week before and only one other guy showed up. If anyone can get free time to help out that'd make the event better and give him an even better impression of the people who come to NuggetFest. He was at TXNF and got to talk to a lot of people.
